Don’t we all know Clem?
It’s not Clem you have to worry about. It’s Clem’s son.
What’s up Zach. I live in Winston as well. I mostly play at Bermuda but occasionally get around to other places. Still need to get up with @Fore20. Also I believe @Blackngold35 is a machine at Tanglewood. I believe that makes a foursome if my math adds up…
Hey Zach,
Where do you play in W-S? I live about 45 minutes west in Newton, but get out to Tanglewood and Salem Glen every now and then. Wouldn’t be opposed to coming that way more often if you need a fourth or what not.
I’m down, I play at Tanglewood quite a bit (just joined the TGA this year), but i’m always down to play at other courses…and the East course at BR is one of my favs - as i’m sure it is for everyone
@Fore20 if you don’t know Clem then you probably don’t golf the Triad…Golf “meetings” are the best type
Nice. East is a joke right now as they’re playing CGA Women’s Am right now. Best score was E from today’s first round, but a lot of rounds in the 80s. I’m there many days each week so happy to have people come whenever. Wednesday is 1/2 guest day so I believe <$40 to ride.
well hot damn, thats quite the deal there
you play with @16greens39putts out at BR?
fair point, everyone knows clem!
Yeah if you have flexibility and can play during the week ever it is a steal. Not sure any other course within 30mile radius is going to better for a price like that. @Blackngold35 was able to join me once last fall with a friend of his for a nice butt-kicking (from the course, not me). @16greens39putts I never had the pleasure of playing with although we played in the same group on multiple occasions and he took many a skins in those games…
Sadly @16greens39putts has left the area to head north. Hate to see him leave our ranks here in the Traid… first class dude and a first class game.
First hole i ever played with him was #1 at BR - guy one hops it in for an eagle from like 115 out.
Damn that is a shame. He’s a super nice dude and an absolute stick. Was fortunate enough to play a round at BR with him and it was a clinic.
Hey guys! You are too kind…it was actually a hole out from 83 yds. I have left NC and headed to New Hampshire. The golf courses get used as cross country skiing for half the year, so it’s a bit different. Right now life is busy so I’ve only played once since I moved. To new beginnings! We love it up here. Miss you guys and the golf down there in NC.
Hope in the NH thread. My whole family is there. Where did you move to? Hope it’s going well.
Thanks! Grantham, NH. We live next to the Eastman course. They have memberships but allow public play and it was a pretty good deal for $47 walking. Where are you? I’ve been reading through the NH thread but haven’t made any connections yet.
I am in SC but family in Portsmouth, Concord, and Strafford (small lake town). Planning to head up in a couple weeks. As of now won’t be playing with the rules.
Ok cool. We are allowed to play in NH next to us, but it’s masks everywhere, they only allow range if you have a tee time, and they pretty much want you to get back in your car as soon as you finish on 18. I imagine it’s a little more relaxed in NC.
Forsyth is being very strict (no guests at all) but as you can imagine Bermuda has been pretty easy whole time. Allowing personal carts so guys are loving it. Guests are fine. Range open. Carts. Just not allowed in pro shop. Now we’re allowed to ride together in carts, dining open, heading back to normal.
Crashing the North Carolina thread to ask a favor. This past Thursday I lost my Southern Pines ball marker while I was playing 9 at my home course in NJ. It must have fallen out of my pocket along the way
If anyone happens to get a round in there and would be willing to pick me one up and mail it (I would cover of course Cost and postage) I’d owe ya lots of thanks. It was my favorite of the courses I played when I took a girls golf trip to Pinehurst area in May 2018.
I’ve put a call out to the RACDG, we will get you one next time one of us get to SPGC.
