The Pointe, Carolina Club, Kilmarlic are all pretty good. Albemarle Plantation is a drive but is supposed to be worth it.
Kilmarlic is good, but will be a bit of a hike from Carolla. Currituck Club will be close by. Seascape and DuckWoods next closest places. All are fine, but none are âmust playâ. If you guys like to play golf and want a break from the beach theyâre all decent options.
Played there on Christmas Day (visiting the in laws) and it was a gem. Whole place to myself for super cheap.
If you get down that way and ever want someone to play with, donât hesitate
Anyone know a few courses around Raleigh that drain really well? Want to play Sunday but donât want to be walking in puddles.
Join us at Hyland at 9:30 Sunday Morning. $30 to walk.
I would but ive got two other buddies that I am teeing it up with.
We have 3 tee times and 9 players so there is room for you and your friends
and thatâs why dave is bringing people together and winning elections
Ill check with them and report back.
- I think you should bring your friends to Hyland because its the right move.
- I havenât actually played it for a few weeks, but Pine Hollow was soooo dry and fast last time I was out there I would like to imagine they drain well and would be playable. Otherâs might chime in with more knowledge there though.
Nags Head is definitely the best one out of the bunch. Kilmarlic is pretty good too, but itâs the most inland course and doesnât drain nearly as well as the rest. I personally prefer Carolina Club to the Pointe out of the three across the sound. Because itâs a little further away than the rest, itâs always less busy and their conditioning is always fantastic. Currituck is pretty good, but way overpriced. Sea Scape is meh.
If yâall can make it work, I HIGHLY recommend making the trek to Scotch Hall Preserve. Itâd be a good option on your way in or way out. Itâs out on a peninsula in the albemarle sound, and itâs a sweet piece of property. Not pricey either. And, as always, tell Nate that Kesler sent youâŚ
Alright it will just be me but I will see you guys sunday morning if there are still spots.
There are. Looking forward to it!

if you know and play with clem, i might hold that against you thoughâŚ
Welcome Zach! Looking forward to teeing it up with you and the guis.
