NOCC is so exclusive. Only way you get on is by knowing someone. I have honestly never seen the course with my own eyes.
I’ll see if I can work something out with my buddy who is a member at MCC. Shoot me a message on here when the time gets closer and I’m sure I can make something work.
Thats kinda what he was alluding to about NOCC. That would be awesome! it would be sweet to link up and try and play a round down there around april 4th or 5th when were down there.
Meet-Up Update:
I’m going to create a spreadsheet on Wednesday when I get back to the office after Mardi Gras. I’m going to call a couple of courses and see what’s the best price I can get for a block of tee times. I’ll bounce back in here with the courses and prices to see what’s best for all. Thinking I’ll call Audubon, Joey B, English Turn, and Lakewood. Tentatively let’s say the first weekend of April, but open to changes.
Alright y’all, here it is! Please do not hesitate to update the sheet with anything that I might have missed.
I need everyone to put their name under the attending table and vote on a course that strikes your fancy. I need to confirm with the course as soon as possible. Guests outside of the refuge are more than welcome. Need more than 12 people to get locked in at these rates, so please do not hesitate.
Thinking once we have played that morning we all should partake in some food and drinks (#LiveUnderPar) at a local bar on the east bank. I am open to a format of some sort if anyone would like to get a little competitive, but if not it would be a great meet up/networking event. Would really like to meet some of my fellow New Orleans area Refugees. Hope to see some of y’all get involved with this
My wife and I went to the doctor for her final appointment before her due date (two days later), and her doctor made the decision to induce the next morning. My wife told me to go out and play that afternoon to calm my nerves before the induction the next morning, so I went to Bartholomew. I started on the back and just after I teed off on 15 my wife called me and told me her water broke. I raced back to the clubhouse, with a huge congratulatory applause from all the guys hanging out.
It was one of the most memorable rounds of golf I’ve ever played.
Since I’m taking a week off work I’ve been joking/not joking with her that I hope she holds out until the 5th or 6th so I can be home all day for Thursday and Friday of The Masters.
She just chuckles and makes some comment on how comically unprepared I am…
Saw you said that you are in Covington. I’ll probably be moving up to that side of the lake in a few months (still TBD).
What course(s) do you normally play? I used to play the course in Abita Springs, but last time I went out it had totally gone to hell in a hand basket. My girlfriend’s godfather is on the board at Tchefuncta so I will probably give them a whirl whenever I make it up there next.
