I don’t think so. But I’ve heard good things about the course at Santa Fe CC although I haven’t played it and it isn’t fully private.
As an east coaster, that’s very fascinating to me.
Las Cruces has a private CC, but it’s so far west of town that the “only” people that are members are the ones that live in the neighborhoods surrounding it.

Playing 9 at Black Mesa Friday afternoon if anyone’s around - 1:30 PM.
Black Mesa was fun. Had the range and the course entirely to myself on a Friday - that was a trip.
My favorite course in the state and it’s not close! It can be pretty open out on weekdays
I’ll be playing golf in either Albuquerque or Santa Fe on Friday morning if anyone would like to join. Haven’t decided a spot or time yet.
Also might be squeezing in UNM North tomorrow morning as well.
A couple of us are playing Ladera this Friday at 11:20 but I doubt the remaining spots are open. Nobody answered just now but I’ll try calling them back in the morning.
Awesome thanks, I’ll call when I land as well to double check.
Sorry but the other two spots are taken. Enjoy your time here!
Will officially be a Santa Fe resident in a few weeks. Looking forward to exploring the state and the golf. ![]()
As someone living in North Texas, I’m insanely jealous. You have some sick options within an hour of you, and beautiful scenery to boot.
You might arrive in time for peak Aspen season. Welcome!
Welcome back to public golf!
What’s up Southwestern Nestlettes …
I’m going to be in Sante Fe the weekend of November 9th.
By way of a recommendation, thinking of getting out to Black Mesa on the 9th. Possibly playing somewhere else in the area on 10th. Any other recs or “ons” would be much appreciated.
Anyone interested in teeing it up with ya boy Slainte?
Would love to meet some of you!
Won’t know my availability until closer to time, but would love to.
booked1 in the 11:30 at Black Mesa for the 9th.
that would be awesome
What’s up fellow Dry Heat GC members. I’m new to the Refuge and Nest, but a long time NLU listener. I live in El Paso, TX. Since out city is the ugly step child of Texas I figured it would be better to join the New Mexico and Arizona based Roosts. Just wanted to introduce myself. If anyone is ever in the El Paso,TX/Las Cruces,NM area feel free to reach out to play some golf.
Welcome! I grew up in El Paso and go back at least twice a year… you can’t go wrong joining the dry heat, great group of guys and much closer than the Texas roosts.
How butterfield looking these days?
