I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t made it out to any of those courses yet. Only hear good things about them and they’ve been on my list for too many seasons to not have played them.

Gross also suffers from the very solid front 9 to a boring muni back.
These are the only 2 pictures I have from Braemar the first week or so in August. It was pretty fast. Lots of variety I thought. I had a blast.

Brookview isnt too bad. Good food and bar scene after. Play my work golf league there and its serviceable to scratch the itch mid-week.
Funny you say that. I agree but I played the back probably 20 times this summer and played the front once. I normally play gross on weeknight and no one is in the back after 6. ( Lots of league only play 9) so I normally go off the back to avoid everyone.
I often use gross as a range session. Drop balls all over and play them in for practice. It’s $14 after 6 so it’s as cheap as a large bucket of balls.
Man the layout could suck and it wouldn’t matter. green fairways this time of year looks like heaven.

I have a soft spot for gross. It helps that I live downtown and I like to bike there when I can, but it is no frills, long enough to be challenging and usually in good shape for the price. Last year was rough conditions due to the winter though

Very interested. Would love to do it at Braemar if it’s possible to get a consistent tee time in the summer.
Gross is a great muni especially given how close it is to the city. Would also be interested in meeting up for a weekly game around the cities. Meadowbrook might be easier to find tee times but I’d be down for most courses in the metro.
