Heck of a night at the TPC. Have an annual tradition of playing from the tips the day after the tournament with the Sunday pins (which were absolutely ridiculous) and THICC rough. Birdied the first, and it went all downhill from there. Icarito’d for a 38-47-85 carrying in 90 degree heat and 15 mph winds, but I’m satisfied with that score.
Took these 2 from the camera towers on 9 and 17.

If I had the option to do anything else I would! It’s honestly not too bad though, pretty flat place.

It’s flat but pretty expansive, lots of trekking from green to tee. Especially at the turn.

Only time I’ve ever played there we carried and it was like 95 and sunny out. Big mistake. I finally called it on the 15th. Sprayed it right into the trees and didn’t finish the hole. Put it in the water on 16 and didn’t finish the hole. Hit a good shot into 17 and then have zero recollection of 18. Pretty sure I picked up again. I was so checked out and just needed to get the hell out of there.

Meh, it’s a MN resort course. Nothing special, but I did enjoy the greens. Otherwise I wouldn’t go out of my way to play it again

I was up late last night so for shits and giggles I looked at Sunday tee times for Keller at 12:01, 35 tee times available. Checked back in 5 minutes and only 17 were available, none before noon. Pretty crazy.

@Mystic i had every intention to do the same thing at midnight. Fell asleep, and looked this morning at 8 and was only able to get a 5:39.
Don’t see that round finishing so will likely cancel.

Played Mendakota yesterday. Played it a fair amount growing up and never thought it was an amazing course but there are some difficult holes and it is a challenge, which I enjoy.
Bringing it up because yesterday was the first time I had played it in a long time and want to praise their improvements. Nothing fancy but they improved some on course facilities (bathrooms, water fill stations etc), removed and added some bunkers and they are expanding/have expanded a few green complexes since I had played it last. Don’t think any of these changes spring it up the power ranking of golf courses but it definitely improves the course and I don’t want these quality of life improvements to go unnoticed…

I went to River Oaks the other day, don’t ask me why - I have no good explanation. They’ve added Top Tracer to their range. Its pretty cool. Tracks a bunch of stats: flat carry, carry with roll, ball speed and a bunch of others. Pretty useful info and better than just pounding balls on the range, imo.
