Ended up playing Kenyon Golf Club and Faribault CC. I adored Kenyon. Nine holer built in the 1920’s. Woman in the proshop didn’t have much history but it had solid strapped vibes, with driveable par fours, and a par 3 that tips out at 210. Faribault CC was a decent layout, but I was shocked by how fast the greens are. Guess they’ve been having a drought. I will be back up in October for a wedding, hopefully can squeeze a round in that weekend.
MN State Am Observation:
Clay Kucera, Winner of the State Am in 2019 at Somerby, College Golfer, and a top 2200 Am in the world (I know, not the highest ranking but still, he is on the list which is more than I can ever say) fired an 85 yesterday in the first round and is +6 thru 6 today. It happens to the best of us! Keep your head up if you are having a bad round!

Anybody have any public course recommendations near the St. Cloud area? I’ll be there for a day and have 6hrs of down time that I need to fill.
Territory is super fun and usually in great shape. Wide open on the front and then more wooded on the back nine. Pretty cheap too if I remember right. Blackberry ridge is alright too if you want a tough test.

I would look at Territory or Wapicada. Both are in good shape and I’ve heard that Blackberry is in tough shape.

Anyone planning on going to the 3M Open this weekend? A buddy of mine got a couple Saturday tickets - we’re gonna be out there in the heat if anyone wants to meet up for a drink!

I had a lesson this morning and started warming up next to a college player and I noticed it was Gunnar Broin from Tonka. Kids these days man, are so freaking good its insane. I remember breaking 80 once in HS and being thrilled. This kid was knocking down flags shot after shot it was mesmerizing.
