Roll Call - MN contingent? (Part 1)

I need to have your boss as my boss too.

Time spent on phone calls does not equal productivity…my boss understands this

Had an interesting discussion with a friend this morning, what do we think is the next trend in golf projects? The short course and minimalist boom has been real, but seems like it is getting a bit saturated. What will excite people over the next 5-25 years as single new projects or additions at private/public facilities?

Anyone have a recommendation for a teacher in the west metro? Someone who wouldn’t feel out of place at a Refuge meet up would be #sick but any recs are appreciated.

Mike Barge at Hazeltine is a legend. He’s pricey, but I scored on a package thing a while back. Like 4 lessons for the price of 3 or something like that?

I was recommended Jeff Otto at Bluff Creek by one Larry Bobka

How was White Bear? I’m out there Saturday.

Great condition. Hopefully they start speeding up the greens a little more but they’re rolling well and true.

I’ll likely be out there in the AM, maybe we’ll see you there

First time out there for me and loved the course. Perfect day out today and turf condition is great for mid-April. Greens weren’t blazing by any means but they were rolling pure. After Baxter told me @kirkeide1 almost eagled the 7th hole the other week, I had to go make my eagle putt so I could let my first round opponent know that I’m coming for him! Thanks @BaxterMSP for the Refuge emergency round invite.

Our match is either going to consist of an Independence Day amount of fireworks or be a complete pillow fight, there is no in between.

Managed to fit in all 18 with a 4:30 time at Keller this evening.

Place is already in great shape for this early; greens rolling true, decent pace but will certainly get quicker in time.

As for the trees. The only noticeable spots for me were hole 8 and 16. On 8, the trees just right of the right fairway bunker are gone, leaving a more generous landing area in the rough for a right miss. And 16, the big tree that blocked cutting the left corner is gone, so opens up a new angle to really cut that hole down. Overall, not too much different, still an absolute gem.

Not that anyone asked, but I did eagle hole 10 today, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

New-ish Nesticle here. West side of Minneapolis. Anyone looking for a miss it fast player to join a game, let me know.

:rotating_light: :rotating_light: :rotating_light:PSA - With the exception of the Moss bracket, there is one week left to complete those first round matches.

If you fail to play your match I will arbitrarily pick winners/losers to ensure my highest possible chance at winning in the North Star Shootout :rotating_light: :rotating_light: :rotating_light:

@chefcycle took me out on Wednesday. It doesn’t look like it’s updated on the bracket.

Had a great time playing with @Daniel @TedMilky and @Icarito_Jr on Friday out at Baker! Played through some light rain, but ended up being a pretty decent day for golf! I had my work cut out for me from the very beginning against Daniel. Somehow managed to keep myself in the mix despite my fair share of water balls, but in the end his ball striking off the tee was too much to overcome. He is going to be a real tough match for the next round!
