Yesterday, @nmatti1995 and I played our match at Minnewaska. While I ended up ahead on the scorecard, 3 and 2, it was truly the 37 degree temps and brisk north wind that won.
Match highlights:
Halving (I’m old and won’t say tying) the 2nd, a 155 par 3 with doubles.
Putting through sprinklers on the 3rd.
A severe Mongolian Reversal (made birdie from 30’, missed birdie from 5’) on #6
Nate kindly waiting until the match was complete to play his best two holes. “That’s golf.”
Enjoyable walk, good convo, fun to get some friendly competition going.

@PaaSco and I had a great time out at Keller today. I came out ahead in a match with some wild swings. After I was 5 up through 7 PaaSco had it all square by 16. I was able to win with a mega 4 after both of us succumbed to the pressure and shanked our tee shots. Keller is really a great way to spend an afternoon.

Was fortunate to sneak out to Keller today for a quick loop. Booked a last second single and went off the tee solo. On #2 a foursome of old men let me play through and now I’ve been stuck behind not one, but two extremely slow threesomes of old ladies. This is why weekday AM rounds suck, but the weather makes up for it.

Absolute blast yesterday. Keller is always a treat and the tree removal really makes it flow. It may have been a mistake not realizing @chefcycle won the NSS last year and challenging him to play the same course, but it was a great match. Looking forward to playing with more refugees soon.
