@Daniel thanks for letting us join you on Friday. It was great to finally play Baker after the chatter in here and finally meet some NLU guis. I did end up moving on in my match with @Icarito_Jr it was a tough start but he started putting the pressure on early on the back to make for a great match. Great playing with you guis and hope we can play again soon.
What time and where? I may be able to make something work!
As of right now we got 3 of us doing WBYC at ~3:30. Let me know if you want to be the 4th
That sounds too good to pass up. Pencil me in! I’ll let you know for sure tomorrow if I can get pass on my daughter’s softball game.
so Baxter curious about the Moss bracket like you mentioned are they just taking the “play when they want to play” mentality to heart? I’ll hang up and listen. Thanks!
If you are a super west west side guy(or just love a long sunday drive) I have 3 spots open with me at Crow River Golf Club in Hutchinson at 2:00 Sunday the 2nd.
Hey guis, I’m looking at possibly coming up to Minnesota in a couple of weeks. I’d be flying into Minneapolis but staying in Duluth with my cousin. Looking for suggestions on places to hit, will likely play 2-3 rounds depending on the weather and flights.
You going to be up in Duluth the whole time?
Thought I may stay the first night in Minneapolis and hit a course in that area in the morning before making the drive to Duluth. It’s a pretty fluid plan.
Not sure how long you’re staying but if you’re going to be there in the later part of May I would suggest making a drive to Giants Ridge and playing both courses there.
If you want a scenic drive head up Highway 61 to Lutsen and play the River/canyon course at Superior National.
I believe the public courses in Duluth are lacking but there’s good public golf within 90 min
Yeah, as @BaxterMSP said public golf in Duluth isn’t great, but the Giants Ridge courses are about 75 minutes north of Duluth, The Wilderness at Fortune Bay is about 20 minutes through some back roads away from Giants Ridge. If you really want to play golf in the Duluth area, I would suggest going over to Nemadji in Superior
I was going to say the same thing. Not a great course, not even a good course at times but it’s cheap and has 4 nines
Edit: and it’s much better than any of the public stuff around Duluth
For your round in Minneapolis I’d recommend Keller in Maplewood. Give this crew 36-48 hours notice and we’ll fill up your foursome for sure.
Thanks for the suggestion! As of now I think my round in the Minneapolis area would be the morning of the 11th. But things are very fluid at the moment.
The reigning champion* of our MN match play is no more. @LonnieMollo dispatched @tj_denawli 6&4 in a rainy battle today, with no strokes being given to either side. Lonnie may be the net menace of the 2021 bracket!
oh shit
Yeah, I would say I didn’t have it today, but I don’t want to take anything away from @LonnieMollo. The guy golfed his ball today, and chipped and putted me to death. He was kind enough to keep me around on the front 9, but the back…man any little crack in the window was slammed by an incredible flop shot or long putt. Going to be a force to reckon with.
Also, I’m still cold from the round today.
I want to play Braemar ASAP
