Mississippi dunes had that same setup with the range almost a mile away.
Hard to believe that place never made it as a private club??

So what you’re trying to say is that Dacotah Ridge only has a few inches of snow on it?!
Oh my goodness, I know lots of people from there, so I visit Canby probably 2-3 times a year. Have played Canby GC a few times. There’s a little 9 hole with sand greens near Gary, SD that’s kind of fun. Bonus points that it’s free.
Sand greens is a whole nother ballpark. Some fun stuff right there.
My wife’s family is from
Canby, was there for a family reunion a couple years ago. Small world!
I love how the warm weather has injected a shot of energy in this thread. It’s almost like we all know we have the potential be golfing in the next two weeks or so
I’m currently walking by my intramural soccer fields wondering if somebody would bitch at me if I took a wedge and hit some balls around.
Gentlemen, the computer has informed me that today is my 1 year anniversary of joining the refuge/getting into NLU content. Went from an occasional check in and podcast listen, to joining the inaugural NSS, meeting a lot of you guis and gaining new golf sicko friends, playing more meetups, to joining the Nest and being full on addicted to the site. Now committed to a full slate of 2021 events where I hope to meet even more you. What a ride. Appreciate the awesome community we have here in MN, looking forward to many great years ahead.
Cheers and Craic On,
TBuhr33
Mr. @TBuhr33 i don’t own any basketball jerseys but i hope to have an opportunity to ball out with you in 2021.
Lucky you, I have more than enough to spare to my playing partners who might be in need.
Siiiiick
Josh Berhow and I worked together at the college newspaper at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Just an awesome dude living the dream. We met for a beer in NYC a few years ago, and he told a story about how he’d recently won the lottery and was among the media members who got to play August the Monday after the Masters. The only problem? The house where the Golf.com crew was staying had a basketball hoop and some mean pick-up games throughout the weekend. At some point on Sunday, Josh got hacked, fell, hit his head and wound up with a self-diagnosed concussion. Poor guy had to find his way around Augusta for the first time while freshly concussed.
BIG RANDY VOICE: “I hate that.”
Sweet 16 of the Worst MN Golf Course Bracket has closed. Hidden Greens with the only upset over Eagle Valley. Looks like we’ve got a couple early favorites.
Onto the Elite 8!

@Lazstradamus and I have agreed in principle to a partner match at Les Bolstad this summer, via twitter.com. Seeking a partner to help me win. @charvey you have experience in this area - interested?
Is it net? In that case @tj_denawli.
I’m always up for a match if we declare net stableford an ineligible format. We can see who runs deep in the net match play bracket for top options too. What’s the story behind this match?
Format and date TBD. @Lazstradamus and I had a minor disagreement on a tweet and he was enough of a gentleman to allow me a match. Not a duel by any means, just a match. Should be a good time.
Surprising to see Stillwater Oaks take down Les Bolstad. Never knew it was that bad.
Anyways, onto the Failing Four!

It’s been bad since it was Sawmill. We did have quite the moment though when our buddy made his first birdie on that par three over the water. Not sure I’ve seen a bigger smile on the golf course.
Here we have the championship match: The cinderella of the bracket Stillwater Oaks, versus the overall #1 seed Hiawatha. Remember, those of you who lose in the first round of the match play are obligated to play the Champion Worst Course on a Saturday morning.
Let’s go!
