Roll Call: Minnesota Part 2 - SIM MEETUP post 9471

You’re not wrong, but this also doesn’t affect everyone equally. It’s more case-by-case than anything and I don’t see it as a reason to not do something. Which I understand isn’t necessarily what you’re arguing but there’s a logical extension there.

I’m considering dropping the requirement to play with another person and relying on the “don’t be a scumbag” rule. Because I do get that it’s hard, but really the point of that requirement was more to get people playing with each other and less about preventing cheating

I’m in the same camp as @TBuhr33 and @LonnieMollo

I’ve personally met a lot of guys on the Roost from the match play tournament and feel like that format is perfectly fine and we should just space it out to finish late in the season and award the winner an NIT spot next year. The quota game with people playing different courses doesn’t force me to play with anyone new and honestly seems like a ton of work for you to have us announce everything.

Is it more work than getting out to meetups though? The match play will return (of course) and I am going to ask about an NIT spot for it, I just didn’t think it worked as a great mechanism to decide Roost qualifiers. That’s why I want people to get points for participating however they can rather than making them show up to specific things all the time.

Don’t worry I’ll sign up and donate my $30 regardless of participation. The initial post to me made it seem like a replacement for the match play. Even if @freesypop doesn’t join he can attest to my negative quota rounds out at StoneRidge.

When is @Mystic and @phrodo gonna play their match so we can at least finish this 2022 event first??

I mean the Transfusion Tussle seems like a great opportunity, but @Mystic is occupied with his blood feud that day.

Also, The Transfusion Tussle will be considered an NSU meetup and anyone in attendance will earn Season Points for it. It’s still @freesypop’s event, just a bonus for anyone in on the Points Race.

Circling 9/30/22, late morning/early afternoon as an early season, points grabbing, get together at Olympic Hills. @MackReiter is getting his round from the NSS3 raffle and @BaxterMSP will be joining to conquer the beast that is hole #6.

Two spots open.

@phrodo and I were in Des Moines this past weekend for the Bolt to the Bud Tent but it just didn’t seem right to have our match out of state. We will get it played soon so we can have the final anywhere but StoneRidge.

I’ll grab the other one!

Am I providing the transfusions? Seems like a god damned shame if I don’t.

Shoot. If anyone falls through @LonnieMollo I’d love to try and fill in.

You could at least bump the sign-up sheet, rookie…

12:00 on the dot and an error booking the only tee time left before 11 means Keller might have to be my Thursday afternoon round.

I signed up. Figure I kind of have to play since its at the U course and I probably own no less than 40 articles of clothing with that “M” on them. Getting ahead of ourselves here but is there anyway I can be in one of the first couple groups? I have to coach in the afternoon that day.

I saw this when I woke up for work this morning and checked quick. 7:27 was open so I went ahead and booked it for you. Kinda sucks that they are aerating on Monday.

Greatly appreciate that, but I ended up booking somewhere else that morning and prepaid for it. Thank you, though!
