Anybody have anyone/anywhere in the area that they trust with pulling/changing shafts?
@Lazstradamus probably has a better answer but Roger Dunn in Santa Monica has never done wrong by me on cutting down shafts, haven’t had them pull any before.

Do we have any Penmar Social Club members on The Refuge? While I haven’t joined yet, I just signed up for the 3 Club Challenge on Sunday. I grew up playing at Penmar and still live on the west side, but I just heard about the club. Looks pretty cool - here’s the IG page.
For those unaware, PSC is a social/golf club based out of Penmar Golf Course (Penmar By the Sea, for those in the know). I believe it was started by Garrett Leight (of sunglasses fame) and it looks like the local golf community gets involved (Malbon, etc.). They have a full schedule of events (with hilarious names) and a season-long points race - this isn’t is a half ass operation.
I’ll report back on my experience at the 3 Club Challenge, but figured I’d put it on the radar of LA-area refugees.

I am a member in good standing at Penmar. Leaving this year to start what @TacoBucket and I are calling “Destination Men’s Club.” We are planning on joining @NineTo5Golf and the other members of the Soule Park Men’s Club to play in their monthly outings.
Turns out the 3-Club is full. Was hoping to join you @TheThreePuttPar, alas, it’s not my time it seems. The club looks like a riot and the merch is lovely. Do you get GHIN service if you join?

It doesn’t look as though you receive GHIN service through the membership, which is a bummer. I guess you’re just paying for the #vibes.
