Looks like the strapped boys are hanging down in the City of Angels. Any guesses where they’re playing/filming? Rancho? Rustic?
How’d you find out?
This pic from Max’s twitter followed by Neils comment, combined with the outfits and mountains in the background.
Sneaky detective work.
90% sure that’s outside the clubhouse at Wilson/Harding.
They can’t be doing Rustic again, can they? They only did it in Feb for TS.
I’m also thinking that it’ll be a different kinda show…
Turn up at LAX
Drive to hotel
Pay for room
Have no money left for golf
Good point.
Max giving them that $free.99 room and board maybe.
Miss you boys!!!
Hey LA peeps … I’m (maybe?) going to be out there with the wife over MLK weekend.
I’m out “in LA” for work often enough, but that really means like Woodland Hills and Agoura Hills. If and when I have free time you know I’m trying to sneak out for golf, not to check out good spots to eat with LA proper.
So, where to eat within LA proper? TIA
What are you looking for? High end? Mid range? Type of food? Ambiance?
I suppose more mid range (because the high end in LA can get really high end) but I’m really open to all suggestions in terms of ambiance and type of food
If you drift into the actual city and are near Hancock Park/Highland, venture to Petit Trois.
No reservations. It’s a bit of a trip. Small, intimate, they make like 6 things, all great. Cocktails are wonderful.
True enough. There’s definitely tiers of high end here.
You will likely need a reso to get in to any of these joints. Book now.
A few of my favorites:
Cassia - BIG flavors here. Room is really big, but the place has a great vibe and is always packed.
Republique - This is a higher end option but well worth it. You’d be hard pressed to find a cooler looking space. Food is fantastic. Loud up front but there’s a dining area in the back if you want a more subdued experience.

Bavel - Modern middle eastern food. Get the duck hummus. Very good vibe here. Always packed.
If you want to do a “deep dive” on the LA food scene lurk around in here for a bit. Great forum: https://foodtalkcentral.com/c/usa-west/los-angeles
Pizzeria or Osteria Mozza (Melrose & Highland), they’re connected and run by Nancy Silverton who was on Netflix’s Chef’s Table. Really good, reasonably priced Italian.
Majordomo in Chinatown - David Chang’s first California restaurant. Great Korean-inspired menu.
Infatuation LA has a lot of great lists, here’s their “Best Restaurant” Guide all over the city.
Koreatown has amazing eats. At the very least, check out a Korean BBQ joint (Quarters, Honey Pig, Ahgassi)
Some other favorites: Pine and Crane (Taiwanese - Echo Park), Night Market + Song (Thai - Silverlake), and Felix (Italian - Venice)
This is some form of Stockholm Syndrome, I think.
DineLA will be going on then. It’s a two week event where a bunch of restaurants, especially high end, will offer set lunch and/or dinner menus for a more affordable price than you’d typically spend if you went there for a meal in general.
Well, tbh I’ve only eaten at Pizzeria several times and always came out happy with the bill. Haven’t been in a couple years so this review MIGHT be out of date.
