I agree with you on this about the Troost reference. It feels like an obvious fit due to the wordplay, but Troost Ave just has that connotation.
There is so much history in Kansas City that we can pull from: BBQ, jazz, fountains, sports, state line reference, etc.

I get both sides of the TRoost association. I like it, because to me at least it’s a deliberate acknowledgement of the ugly history of troost, and until now I didn’t understand why troost was always referenced by people. Troost Union is both a nod to Union Station, and a recognition of the past and desire to unwind it. At least to me that’s what it is.
Absolutely not hung up on it at all. I just threw it out there to have something to rally around or at least garner a reaction.
The vegetarian in me doesn’t want to use BBQ, but I get it. I still like the Saxophone Fountain idea too.
Also, depending if we end up pulling in from IA and NE, we may want a more regional based association rather than such a strong tie in to KC.

I feel like there is some potential with just the MO-KAN border. Maybe someone with more creativity and graphic design skill can take the picture below or something similar and run with it.

With Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas all potentially being a part of this I think we should do something with the river. It could be a riverboat, a golfer standing in the water, a canoe as a golf cart, hell I don’t know, but there are lots of options.

@ActionThomson I think you’re onto something if this does, in fact, become a regional team. Steamboats are awesome. A Lewis &Clark-style explorer huffing a golf bag on/near the river would be awesome, too. Rangefinder as a telescope, etc. etc. So many ideas…

definitely doable. I think if STL keeps marching down the path to butthurt nation, we’ll have to incorporate an upside down arch into the shield.
