Would commit to playing also. Need some local regularity as long as people don’t mind the occasional REALLY errant shot.

I’d love to make it work, I think I made it to two Swope meetups last year and had a blast at each. I don’t have the time to spearhead as I will be captaining our KC Cup squad but will definitely try to get to as many Roost or roost-adjacent meetups as I can

Know what I’d love, is like a weekly tee time somewhere public. After work type deal, like every Wednesday (or Thursday or Monday or whatever) we arrange a 5:10 & 5:20 pair of tee times.
Series of round robin nine-hole matches. It’s two hours of yer time (every other?) week. TRoost League night.
Or same time on multiple days if polling suggest large blocks of potential ‘members’ could be had on different nights. Some also might have flexibility to play either Tuesday or Friday.
Let’s just find a day when multiples can play. I think this could be sustainable if ten to a dozen people can earnestly say they wanna #getinvolved.

with our family schedule I can’t commit to weekday rounds as fun as it’d be.

The beauty of the Roost is that it doesn’t have to be a massive commitment to be a part of. So long as the Roost itself is making an honest effort to get folks together and those in the Roost seize the opportunity from time to time, we have ourselves a viable Roost.
I also wouldn’t be able to commit to every week but would love to come when I can.

Living in LFK now, I won’t be able to commit to a weekly round, but I will for sure be able to meet up for handfuls of TRoost rounds and match play stuff.
So a single tee time where every week peeps gotta claim a spot. Still with 10-12 said peeps won’t make up a full Roost of cocks.
I’m on kid pickup duty 9/10 days at 5pm so I can’t really ever do a mens league or anything after work.

I’m new in the past month to the Nest but live just outside of Topeka . I would love to get something going in KC or surrounding area. Weekdays are difficult to play for me due to work, but could commit to regular weekend rounds. Any thoughts of doing something with people within 100 miles of KC? Maybe rotate to different courses in that 100 mile area.

I could probably jump in once a month or so, but between men’s league, weekend games, other events at the club, and non-golf activities, a weekly thing would be too much for me.
Is it bad that I look at it like a bowling team? Lots of regulars with ability to change out others if need be?
Perhaps I’m simplifying it too much but seems like we could “roster” quite a few. 🤷🏻

even if it’s on weekends, I’m probably in the same place as a once/month participant, so I don’t want to try to steer the direction of the (T)Roost.
I desperately want to be a part of this and would do everything in my power to show up as much as possible. One question I have is do I need a GHIN? I’ve just never gotten around to do it over the years but do want to get one. Maybe I can get @sundaybag and BCN to be my authorized golf club. Any help on navigating that process would be much appreciated.
Feels like we are the only mid to large metro interested in this that is getting all caught up in the little things. I gotta imagine someone who can commit to a weekly, weekday event series has to be the outlier. Need to just rip the band aid off and start planning shit. It is so worth it if someone can only make one event all year. Still family and proud (T)roosters. In an ideal world, there will be multiple opportunities, weekend and weekdays, to get #involved.
