Fellas, I’m beyond excited to get down to the greatest state in the US in a couple weeks to enjoy some golf and fair beers with you guis. Refuge event season is always a blast.
With that in mind, I’d like to invite the members of the roost with the sickest logo to join us in Minnesota for our Roost Major, the North Star Shootout.
The idea is that we’re renting an entire golf course for an entire day to play 36 holes with 60 of our closest (internet) friends followed by some free-for-all golf with maybe 1 or 2 beers mixed in.
We’ll be playing golf and having some fun the day before too. We’d love a chance to earn your business. Details are below.

Is Indian Hills Golf Club the Sweetens Cove Golf Club of the Iowa Great Lakes? Who can say…BUT it’s the only 9 hole course in the area & finishes with a par 3. The course had some interesting & challenging green complexes, (including a legit postage stamp with no bailout), the most negligent tree pruning for windows from back tees I ever have seen (2 were even unplayable), a bell to ring after you clear the green on #7 & even a nifty little putting course named The Papoose. Was this “review” a Strapped attempt at what @Sweet_Cupn_Cake writes up about elite courses?

I am visiting my parents this weekend & didn’t want to pay an inflated rate (which includes a cart) at one of the three 18 hole Okoboji courses, so I just threw down $25 to walk 9 holes. The crazy thing is you can buy a single season pass for $99!

That’s sick!! I’ve never been real impressed by any of the other three courses. Usually in good shape but either boring or tree heavy for the most part. Should bring my 6 year old down there soon, he would love it

It turns out Indian Hills Golf Club has a more interesting history than I thought; course is more than 100 years old, was originally 18 holes & potentially has a Poltergeist situation going on. “You left the bodies and you only moved the headstones!”
