I’m all in. There’s 254 9-hole courses in Iowa. The Castle with a suspension bridge in Ida Grove looks kinda sick.

So my girlfriend got me this a couple years ago but this has “all” of the golf courses in Iowa on it. I say “all” because I don’t know when it was made but the Grand Falls Casino course is on there and I think it just opened in the past 5 years. This does have both 18 and 9 hole courses on it so it doesn’t help the 9 hole hunt but I thought this would be interesting for people to see.

Ida Grove is pretty flat, the castle style bridge is about the only cool part of it. But it is pretty cool. The 9 holer in Correctionville 30 minutes NW of Ida Grove is probably the flattest course i’ve ever seen though. The niners in Sac City and Spring Lake in-between Odebolt and Lake View are some pretty fun 9s.
Been wanting to play the Grand Falls for some time now. One of these days i’ll make it up there. It’s a Rees Jones like Blue Top.
Also, i’ve almost bought that exact map on etsy or whatever like 10 times now. Is it printed on fairly thick paper stock? Framed?
Yeah its pretty good card stock. I don’t have it framed, just in a large plastic sleeve. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it at the time so it just sat around for a while.
The Grand Falls course was cool, we played it like 4 years ago. Almost no trees on the course at the time, but reasonably wide fairways. It had just opened up recently to that point so there wasn’t much long grass but that could be different now. That could be one for next Cornstalk season

I’m sure you can find a few sickos on here that would play with you in various places. I’m in Washington county and play at Lagos Acres most of the time.

Yea i think i’ll pull the trigger on that thing. It looked like pretty good card stock in the photo, so i think that confirmation decides it. Now to remember where i saw that thing in the inter-webs…

Since it has Grand Falls (opened in 2015 from what i can find) but NOT Deer Run in Indianola (opened in 1999/2000 from what i can find), i am confused. It also still has Sleepy Hollow, which is interesting.
This list looks reliable. I’ll post here when I start the quest.
