Sadly no. Will need to meet and schmooze a member or request on Thousand Greens if youre a member elsewhere…or hope an Iowa Golf Assoc event goes there next year. Thats how Ive played Talons of Tuscany (the most private course in state)

do they still maintain the one behind 8 green for turf management? Didn’t realize they had re-done multiple holes.
Lotta positive reviews on Bos after the mid-Am. Guys that haven’t been there in years, really like what it’s looking like now. Took out a lot of trees, trying to make it more enjoyable and playable, but still challenging.
I haven’t been out there yet this year, but if you do make the trip down here, would be happy to get out play.

Yeah they do. They also keep what I believe is the old #8 green around as a pitching green for when the Hawks go down there.

I can’t believe they haven’t had an event there in almost 10 years. My dream would be for the IGA to start a rota for the Iowa Am/ Women’s Am that included all of the best private courses in the state.

Ranking iowas best courses is like ranking girls in the trailer park. That being said harvester is the girl in the cut off daisy dukes and a wife beater walking her Rottweiler at 6 am after working the club all night. Dcc is that 22 yr old strippers mom who lives two trailers down. See looks good at first then as you get closer you start to see the cigarette burns on her arms. You notice her hair is awfully ratty but god damn does she know how to finish. And talons is the lady working in the office. We know she doesn’t belong in this shithole trailer park with her lululemon pants and her Range Rover but we can all just pretend from 8-4.

Total homer take since I went to school in Orange City but if there was a course like that in Des Moines/KC I would play it every single chance I could. Orange City/Sioux Center have two of the best public courses in the state IMO.

Welcome! Just moved to the QC in January from Southern Wisconsin. My allegiance lies with the Supper Club based on my cheddar roots. @grandpa_jones and @RunItOut have been great to get to know in the area along with solid suggestions on where to play/hang.

You know you’re spoiled when you look at the rack rate at Deere Run less the 20% local discount and think, man it’s just not worth $120 to me.
If anyone is looking for a morning Tuesday round, we have 2 spots and are looking at hitting up a local muni - Emeis, Glynn’s, Highland, possibly Fyre Lake.
Lunch, then head to Oakwood for afternoon round. Happy to host any of you psychos.
