I like the guys in MN and WI a lot. But longer season has swayed me to KC. Plus my wife has a sister there so I could double whammy trips down.

I have roots in Wisconsin as I went to school there. But the only Refuge event I have ever attended was the Barn Burner in KC and met a lot of great people from KC at that event.

Ahhh yes. I want to join The Nest, but I should probably fix my house before I spend more money on golf and golf content. Any chance I could get a tl;dr on what a Roost is? Trying to decide if it’s something to join. Some of the most fun I had on a golf course this year was with fellow Refugees.
you don’t even need to ask, you’ve already got it figured out. The Roost is basically regional “clubs” with an assigned captain to gather people for more community golf, with a backbone component of charitable giving.
NLU chooses the geographic boundaries of each “club” based on applications submitted by regions. I have submitted one on behalf of KC, and we have a strong contingent building (currently 28 and counting). We welcome our neighbors to the north who would like to join.

Falling down a rabbit hole about the bloodless dispute between Missouri and Iowa was not on my ADHD bingo card for today. Alas, here we are…Big fan of the Honey War Cup rivalry event. Team trophy being a jar rather than a cup, I hope.
