If the weather looks promising for it, I’d chase a twilight Ross round.

I haven’t played Dye yet but if this isn’t a golf trip, Ross will fill your cup and is a beautiful property to enjoy a bev and bring the GF along. No caddy required, fun challenge.

Valley Links is also a little 9 hole course on property. Gives you a better chance, probably, to let her play and leaves you the opportunity to return on a real golf trip for the Ross, Dye and Sultan’s Run.

Me and my cousin are playing Brickyard at 2:30 next Saturday (8/3). Two spots still online if anyone would like to join.

Also looking for Sunday AM recos north Indy and up. Have to end up in Ligonier early evening.

Thanks!

Players Club in Muncie, used by the BSU team a bunch, great course and affordable, always rated highly. Had a blast, greens are in great shape.

Calling all Hoosiers (and maybe any @FreshCoastFlock @OhioAgainstTheWorld degenerates that feel like a drive to NE Indiana)

A local chapter of Boys and Girls Club are having a fund raising event at Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne on Monday September 9th, shotgun start at 1pm with lunch prior.

I have one foursome lined up (inc. myself) but would be cool if we could get another one.

Entry fee is $150 a man ($600 a team).
Money isn’t due just yet but he would appreciate verbal confirmation of teams by Thursday. I am a good friend of one of the event sponsors so I have a little leeway if people need a little more time to decide.

EDIT: forgot to attach the flyer

Hey there Indian
I’m heading to Indy next week and looking for course recommendations.
I am going to play Mon, Tue, & Wed I am staying in downtown Indy and have a car.
Courses I am considering as I am looking to do 36 each day.
MONDAY
The Fort
Eagle Creek has 2 courses is one better than the other and are they better than the Fort

TUESDAY
Purgatory
Bear Slide

WEDNESDAY
Plum Creek
Prairie View

THURSDAYI
I may have room for an early round that day so open to suggestions

Since Eagle Creek has 2, why not make Monday an all day there so you get to see both courses and move the Fort to Thursday? Haven’t played either yet but 36 at a Dye should be fuuuun. I’ve heard nothing but great things about The Fort, great one to end on.

I can probably come play with you next Wednesday, I’ll WhatsApp you

that’s my initial thought as well. hoping to get a little more feedback but due to tee time availability I don’t have a lot of wiggle room. If multiple people gave me a hard NO to any of the courses I have picked then I would pivot

Probably would be Prairie view for the first round and then Plum Creek second

Those are all solid, especially Purg/BS. Stony Creek is pretty underrated for how good a condition it usually is in. Has a short lil pitch and putt par 3 course as well.

The Sycamore course is better than the Pines at Eagle Creek, haven’t met anyone who thinks otherwise. That’s not to say you won’t enjoy it. That being said, if you’re choosing between playing Sycamore & Pines OR Sycamore & The Fort, you should choose Sycamore and The Fort 100% of the time. I’d almost even say just play The Fort twice.

Plum Creek is super fun, I’m stoked. Gotta check the floor coverage for Wednesday.

Can confirm Plum Creek is a gem.

The Fort does not have tee times available on Monday unfortunately. Does on Thursday. If there are other places to play better than Eagle Creek on that side of Indy I may consider adjusting the courses that day

Maybe investigate Golf Club of Indiana. Admittedly I haven’t lived there for a few years, but that was always a fun round

Getting to finally play Kampen here in 2 weeks. Loved Ackerman-Allen, but cannot wait to get my teeth kicked in. Lol

Might want to start your rain dance. if it stays dry, holding any fairway is going to be tougher than it already is.
