Buddy of mine who buys land for the city bought lakeside, they’re turning it into drainage for the river when it overflows (not that it already wasn’t that )
Good call on brookwood, might call riverbend too see if they have anything.

I’m curious if either place is open; I actually haven’t been to riverbend before.
It’s got some pretty cool holes, good “width and angles” lol. Nice over water shots, and shots where you have to really think about what you should try and pull off. Can get a bit wet, though what fort wayne course doesn’t. The last few holes leave a little to be desired, but its a good track for what you pay.
@Arty @KingKonk Looking for tee time in Central Indy?
Sam’s got a connect at Eagle Creek, Tee sheet looks open for both days under $30 riding (i’ll probably walk because of the cold).
Could set it up, they’re gonna be open. Pines course is an easy walk. Not sure if it’ll be temp greens or not.
@KingKonk I just got in a game for Saturday but if rain holds off Sunday I’d be interested noon or so
Eeeesh, temporary greens…
Alright everyone, as the weather begins to turn I’m looking to get round one of the weekly Indianapolis game set up. I plan to get it officially started on Saturday 3/21 (possible practice round on 3/14 if weather permits) - and am open to pretty much anywhere in the Indy area.
If you’d like to participate, please send me a DM on here with course and tee time preferences for 3/21. Once we have a decent number committed I’ll book tee times and get the ball rolling. Subsequent weeks will be planned by the group once we run into a few cold beers after the round.
St. Rappeo pray for us. Looking forward to snap hooking the first tee shot with you all.

Thanks to those that have replied, unfortunately I think it’s probably wise to delay this until we’re able to get past the worst of the coronavirus situation. Stay healthy out there!
Not sure where everyone is but Curtis Creek is open regularly. That’s the closest place to my house. Again, might be a bit of a haul for you guys but just wanted to throw that out as an option.
Indiana doesn’t have Covid-related statewide golf closures, as far as I can tell, like IL-WI-MI. Dying to drive somewhere from Chicago. Anything you’d recommend in NW Indiana?
Unfortunately The Warren at ND is voluntarily closed.
If you’re willing to drive to West Lafayette, both of the Purdue courses are still open and are phenomenal. A little over 2 hours from Chicago, not a bad drive.
Sandy Pines. It is awesome. Holes 2-7 might be one of my favorite stretches of golf in the state.
Sandy Pines is a good one! Hole Number 2 is probably one of the most fun par 5’s I’ve played. If you don’t mind a drive, Harbor Shores is an amazing course in Benton Harbor. Just short of that is Lost Dunes. It is a Tom Doak Design (Might be private? Not sure). @ArnieDrillingKools
Golf is not allowed in Michigan right now.
Here’s some information about Indiana golf closest to you- includes a link to a good review of Sandy Pines.
Duh I totally forgot
We’re working on a big project here at golfindy.info this year- if you are connected to any of the following courses, I’d love to talk to you:
The Bridgewater Club
Crooked Stick Golf Club
Dye’s Walk Country Club
Eagle Creek Golf Club
Harbour Trees Golf Club
Mystic Hills Golf Club
Oak Tree Golf Course
Plum Creek Country Club
Sahm Golf Course
The Club at Chatham Hills
Woodland Country Club
Aberdeen in Valparaiso is a nice little track. It would be a good hike walking from greens to tee boxes.
