Not a member. Started working as a caddie in the summer of 2012; I don’t loop as often any more, but I spent the past few summers working in the bag room and pro shop. Since 2017 or so, the majority of my golf has been played out at ORCC - they’re kind enough to let me play for free when it isn’t too busy out there. Before that, it was Chestnut Hills, but after spending a few years playing mostly at ORCC, I couldn’t see myself ever going back.

Did you happen to comment on a members NLU golf towel on their bag last summer? Was probably me lol. It’s such a nice track to be able to play for free, definitely a nice perk of the job I’m sure! Chestnut hills is a nice spot, love the back nine.

EDIT: actually… I lost my NLU towel at orchard ridge and myself nor no one else ever found it.

God I wish. This winters here are always brutal for a golf nut. Used to live in Denver and the golf season out there was sooooo long in comparison.

Good on it. Looks like along with @Matthewhope17 we’ve got a small but strong collection of golf in FW. I’m NE side, closer to Canterbury.

Yeah I definitely remember commenting on it! Had the same one on my bag for a while before I got one of the red, white, and blue ones.

That back nine at Chestnut sure is gettable. I think playing it hundreds (if not thousands) of times in middle/high school burnt me out on it.

Does anyone wanna go see Poosh Daddy and the Iration boys at the Vogue on Saturday??

Saw them Sunday. Amazing show and Ballyhoo, Iya Terra are so worth going early.

Anyone trying to play tomorrow afternoon? central indy area

Presumably most of you guis on here use the Indiana BlueGolf app for your HCP.

I’ve only tried a couple of times, but seems to me that our HCP# and logins are incompatible with the new WGH GHIN app? Does anyone know if our bluegolf app will get an update - its pretty Web 2.0 in my opinion, and the fact you have to search for yourself to look up your card seems pretty weird.

Correct me if i’m wrong, but I don’t think we can look up anyone else outside of Indiana with that app, and I can’t look up anyone on the GHIN app because our indiana # wont let me login… have to resort to the web portal - which considering you’re probably on a golf course with your phone is pretty not handy…

You are correct, we can’t look up anyone outside of IN I assume they are going to have to update it with the WGH but haven’t seen any communication on it yet

I e-mailed the IGA last Friday and got a new number. They haven’t notified anyone yet. I would guess you can do the same.

got ya, PGA meetings next week hopefully they will talk through it and give direction for the masses then.

so are you able to access the new GHIN app with that number? I got a new number a while back but it still relates to the IGA not the WGH as a whole (presumably though our HCPs are now being calculated in accordance with WGH method)

old GHIN number is dead. New number, same password is what I was told. I changed password anyways. Worked fine.

Yeah, I tried accessing the GHIN app with our new IGA number and last name and it says I’m not authorized to acces GHIN products. I can access the IGA BlueGolf app just fine, but as I mentioned it’s somewhat lacking in functionality for my liking. Oh well, here’s hoping something comes of the PGA meetings…

@mulloo @Matthewhope17 With the weather supposedly being in the 50s and sunny this weekend, do you guys know of any courses that will be open this weekend around town? Muni websites still appear to show officially closed until “March”

@mulloo @SvenPaterson Brookwood is usually open for the random nice days in the winter. I played there that random week in December when it was warm. I’d also check Lakeside (if it is still around), and maybe give Foster Park a call. A few years back, I went to Clear Creek in the Huntington area. Don’t know if it still exists (it was hardly a golf course and more like a random farmer’s backyard) but it would probably be open tomorrow
