Heading back to Houston to visit family a bit earlier from Australia (~Dec 12-Jan 10). Would be great to play with some fellow sickos at Memorial or any other track if the weather holds.

Spending the holidays in Spring/Woodlands via Maine and looking for suggestions on where to play. I’ve played Memorial Park, Augusta Pines, and Windrose and would ideally like to try something new. Here through 12/28 if anyone’s looking to get out. Thanks!!

You need to get down to Gus Wortham while you’re here. Definitely worth the drive to Houston.
If you want to play somewhere close to you, then I’d recommend Cypresswood - The Tradition and Tour 18.

Wow. Just played Gus Wortham this afternoon after about 10 years. I must say it was one of the more enjoyable experiences I’ve had in recent memory. What a gem for a muni in Houston.

BearKat is a fantastic course, and if you don’t mind the drive or live on the north side it’s the best deal in the area. My sister went to college at SHSU so Dad and I would drive up to visit her and golf. More natural land movement than anything in the city, kicks my ass almost every time I play.
If I had a direct line to Neil and Randy I’d tell them it’s worth a Strapped trip alone. BearKat, Gus, and Jersey Meadow/Hermann Park are the true Houston Strapped rota, not Memorial
