Roll Call: Houston

Won’t be relocated yet by the 18th but I’m up for anything Mid-November and beyond

Hey Houston folks,

I wont be around the 18th so I won’t be able to make that time. Would be interested in the future!

Thought I’d post here, my buddy and I are playing 5 rounds this weekend for a “Golf Trip” after our trip to Florida was cancelled this weekend because of the hurricane. I’m just going to throw the tee times and courses if you guys are interested in grabbing a slot.

Friday 10/9

Margaritaville (was $60/pc for us) - 7:30 AM

Ravaneaux - ($40/Person) - 2:15 PM

Saturday 10/10

Stonebridge Newport ($40/Person) - 7:24AM

Gus Wortham ($36 / Person) - 2:20 PM

Sunday 10/11

Wilderness ($50/Person) - 1:00 PM

Would love to have some refugees join and meet you guys, feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

Count me in for the 18th! Could possibly swing a few buddies to fill open spots if need be.

Right now I’ve only got one foursome booked. I should’ve booked more as they seem to be all gone for that Sunday.

New to Houston and the Refuge. Just dropping in to say hey.

Any refugees trying to Monday-into-the-Monday qualifiers? There are two of them scheduled. @jsteve15, I’ll loop for you if you’ll promise to post a score low enough to not get shamed on Twitter.

So how are we getting around this little “eligibility” situation:
Professionals and Amateurs/Players Seeking Amateur Status with a handicap index when applied to the qualifying course slope will generate a handicap of two (2) or less
Think my 7.5 index will play?

Man, these are probably the two courses in the area I play the most. Too bad this 11.7 index isn’t going to get me anywhere. What are the chances I black out during qualifying and go low enough to get in?

Maybe we qualify if you and I play a 2 man scramble

Maybe we can get something on the books for after the Houston Open is over? Although its impossible to know if you can ever get a tee time out at Memorial now.

Sold. Think they’d notice? We’d have to sync up on clubs, outfits, etc. haha

I’m afraid I can’t loop for a 2-for-1 scramble. I’m no Rudy.

Yeah I’m always down…you pretty much have to book using the advance fee. Doubt we could snag too many times. Gus Wortham maybe a better shot

Yea, Gus is probably the better call on chances of getting a tee time.

I’m playing Woodforest tomorrow with my buddy as he just became a member there. I’m interested to see how it goes as it’ll be my first time playing a private course outside of charity tournaments.

Anyone gonna try and go to the Open now? I’m curious how fast it’ll sell out since it’s only 2,000 tickets a day. Field is way better though.

Woodforest is fun. Some weird holes but some very good ones and awesome greens.

It’s a decent course. I used to go play/practice there before TPC let me use their facilities.

I’m going for sure. I have a few avenues for tickets so I’m sure I’ll get them somehow.

Not sure if anyone is planning on going, but tickets are available for presale with the code HOsocial. I just bought 2 tickets to Friday. See the link on the Houston Open Twitter page:

In case anyone needs some motivation to buy…
