I’ll be in Chattanooga Aug 24, Sweetens is booked up – any recommendations from the locals? The other “good ones” that come up all private
Brainerd, bear trace, sewanee if you can drive.
Heading to North Atalanta after Chatt, so Sewanee is back in the opposite direction unfortunately but it looks great! Ill take a loot at Brainerd and Bear Trace as well, Black Creek looks like the place to get on if you can-- anything that is “Raynor’ish” is the place to play!
Lookout Mountain is actually a Raynor if you can get on, and that is the place to play for sure. It’s my favorite course in the city.
Also, Stonebridge in Rome, GA is really cool too if you’ve never hit that before
we were really surprised by Nob North in Dalton (right on the way back down 75 to ATL). Conditions were amazing and the course was solid. Had pretty low expectations but would for sure go back.
I saw Black Creek is Club Corp, and I have some connections through them so I might be able to get us on there, Lookout would be a little tougher to get on I think. Thank!
You’ll still love black creek, the 17th biarritz is one of my favorite holes ever. The Par 5 alps hole is nuts too, the punchbowl is the biggest you’ll probably ever see.
Who is in Savannah?
Hi all,
Thinking of organizing a meet up in Knoxville sometime this fall. Would likely be at Willow Creek since it’s the best public track in the area.
Any interest?
I feel like a Saturday afternoon round and an opportunity to grab a few drinks after the round would be fun.
Post up if interested. Ideal number is probably 8, but happy to have more.
Down!
also, anybody going to be at Sewanee this weekend? Booking a 7:30 CT tee time and may need a 4th. @RangerB ?
I’ll take a rain check. In Missouri for a wedding Venue does have a 9 hole pitch and putt.
Wow that’s awesome, what’s the venue?
Cedar Creek, the golf is included when you stay at the hotel. Haha. I can’t find any info on it.
Hey there guys. Me and a couple of guys are driving from Atlanta to Mentone, AL first weekend in October. I know that Sweetens is closed for all of next month. What recommendations do you have for around Chattanooga or northwest GA? I know of Stoneridge in Rome and Barnsley in Adairsville. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!
Check out Field’s Ferry in Calhoun and Sewanee. Stonebridge in Rome is awesome as well.
Long-time lurker, first-time poster checking in from Nashville! I’m new to golf (started playing about a year ago) but thoroughly hooked. Excited to get involved!
Bear Trace at Harrison Bay, Nob North, and Sewanee are all good public courses
Murfreesboro here. Play Old Fort primarily, local muni but probably the best municipal in greater Nashville area.
