The park is not to be missed. It would be about a 30-40 minute driving from Fort Lauderdale. Palm Beach Par 3 is also a great walk. Broward county golf is a blind spot for me, so not much help there other than suggesting Jacaranda. Though I would recommend the Biltmore in coral gables, early 1900s Donald Ross with some great greens and a quirky layout.
Hey everyone, new to the Refuge so hoping this is posted in the right spot. Heading down to Orlando with my family this week and thought I would toss it out if anyone wants to play. I’m from rural Ontario Canada, my brother lives in Orlando (32,31). We are planning to play Mystic dunes a couple times, WP9, possibly Royal st Cloud. Down there from the 1st-10th.
Happy to take any recommendations as well!
WP9 is a must, IMO. If you can deal with the drive and stomach the cost (and get a tee time) get to Streamsong.
We play WP9 every year when we get down there. Its awesome for sure! Looks like they rebranded the other winter park course to Winter Park 18. Is it worth playing?
I don’t think Streamsong is in the cards this year, one day!
If you’re coming from out of town I’d say WP18 is not exactly worth going out of your way for. Nothing about the course will blow you away. It’s short and quirky and can be fun though if the pace isn’t terribly slow. WP9 + WP18 would make for a decent 27 hole day.
Stop in Sarasota and I’ll have you out at SB
By SB do you mean Stoneybrook? My Mom lives in Florida, I’m up in Northern VA. My favorite course up here is an Arhur Hills course so everytime I visit my Mom I kick myself for not getting over to Stoneybrook.
Sara Bay in Sarasota

Hey Floridian Refugees!
I am gonna be at a wedding between Fort Pierce and Jupiter, FL. in late March. I am looking to play Friday morning on 3/21. Any recommendations of where I should try to play to make the most of being over there? I am open to drive an hour or so if needed.
Also if anyone wants to play I am always looking for someone to loop with!
West Palm Area:
The Park
Palm Beach Par 3
Jupiter/North County:
North Palm Beach Country Club
Abacoa
Stuart/Port St Lucie Are:
Hammock Creek
Astor Creek
PGA Golf Club
Thanks for these options to look into! Do you have a particular favorite of the bunch?
Depends on how much you’re looking to spend. The Park is by far the best of the bunch, but mid March is gonna be $$$$. Might be pushing $250-300 for out of state
Sounds awesome! I don’t see myself being back in the area any time soon, so I will be looking to make the most of it.
Cabot 100% lived up to the hype. Didn’t hit a single shot without a lot of thought and strategy required. The students haven’t stopped talking about it since we’ve been there.
WP9 is awesome. Need WAY more courses like that around the country.
Hi All,
I’m going to be in Naples next week/weekend and was wondering if anyone had public course recommendations? I’ll be staying in South Naples (my buddies has a place on/near Fiddlers creek)
I saw eagle lakes has times, is it worth $190?
Thanks!
Was lucky enough to play every hole on property last year (and the Wedge twice, once under the lights), and it was the best day of golf I’ve ever had. One of the coolest places out there.
Im hoping to get back and play the Roost as well as the short course and par 3. We messed around on the putting course for a while after our round.
Possible stay at a property in Lotus by the Sea at Treetops. Listing said free round of golf at 1 of 4 courses in the area, every day.
What possible membership/s could this be? And what four courses. They mention Camp Creek specifically.
