A PA rep just introduced a bill today. Fingers crossed.
Former New Jerseyan here, travel back for nieces birthdays and graduations, buddies weddings. Usually play near where I grew up. Public-High Bridge Hills, Beaver Brookâwhen it is playable, Heron Glen. Private-Fiddlerâs Elbow (via Clubcorp), Oak Hill (buddies dad), Watchung Valley (buddy). Planning to be back on August 1 for a graduation.
My buddy said they are going to 1 person to cart but I cannot find this anywhere, have you heard anything?
Any word on whether courses will be open to PA residents only?
This line has me thinking they may not want âtravelersâ from out of state/town.
- Stay close to home : Pennsylvanians are encouraged to enjoy permitted outdoor recreational activities within their community and avoid crowding popular destinations.

that or walking only seems like a given. plus no rakes, water coolers, etc.
All of the sudden I am developing a deep anger towards my parents raising me in NJ all those years ago
We are back in business this weekend in Jersey! Bout time.

any one a member of Whitford or Chester Valley? Might be thinking about making a change from my current club and just looking to see how you like it.
Currently living in Cincinnati but will be shipped to the Blackwood/Turnersville area for work in July, and was hoping for some insight as to what the golf scene is like in that area or if there are any refugees from around there. My apartment will be five minutes from Trump National and ten from Pine Valley, but Iâll likely be leading a more âStrapped lifestyleâ while living there.
My in-laws live down that way and I am there a lot. I have played Riverwinds and Scotland Run - both not strapped persay, but they have dynamic pricing and can find a decent deal around there. They both aren;t the most interesting courses but are fairly well maintained, and yeah worth checking out as they would be quite accessible for you. I am looking to explore more as I will be down there for the next month or so with the family. Good luck!
My in-laws also lives in that area, and I always enjoy Running Deer down in Pittsgrove, I think. Also, Pitman is muni that is more along the lines of a Strapped course.
By the way, Iâve always heard Scotland Run is really good, but have never played it. Why did you not like it?
Running Deer is sneaky good.
I like it, but guess just feel it can be a bit expensive at times, the greens can be pretty slow, and the pace of play is all over the place. Its still in a solid track and should rotation for sure, but just wonât want it to be my regular, that;s all.
Pitman is a fun little loop. Has become a lot more difficult to get a weekend tee time there the last couple years.
Iâve always felt like if they ever let the greens get fast, you couldnât play it! Those greens have some serious undulation to them! I love it, but you have to get used to the speed being slower. Itâs also has some really tough holes. I think the 11-13 stretch can be pretty tough.
yeah I can see that guess I am just used to a bit faster - always up for a round out there with a fellow refugee
I donât like to play by myself, so when things get normal enough to visit, maybe we can get together and play somewhere.
sounds good, we are camping out at my in-laws for the month of June, and then we are down there at least once a month - so yeah sounds like a plan
