My in-laws live down that way and I am there a lot. I have played Riverwinds and Scotland Run - both not strapped persay, but they have dynamic pricing and can find a decent deal around there. They both aren;t the most interesting courses but are fairly well maintained, and yeah worth checking out as they would be quite accessible for you. I am looking to explore more as I will be down there for the next month or so with the family. Good luck!
My in-laws also lives in that area, and I always enjoy Running Deer down in Pittsgrove, I think. Also, Pitman is muni that is more along the lines of a Strapped course.
By the way, Iāve always heard Scotland Run is really good, but have never played it. Why did you not like it?
Running Deer is sneaky good.
I like it, but guess just feel it can be a bit expensive at times, the greens can be pretty slow, and the pace of play is all over the place. Its still in a solid track and should rotation for sure, but just wonāt want it to be my regular, that;s all.
Pitman is a fun little loop. Has become a lot more difficult to get a weekend tee time there the last couple years.
Iāve always felt like if they ever let the greens get fast, you couldnāt play it! Those greens have some serious undulation to them! I love it, but you have to get used to the speed being slower. Itās also has some really tough holes. I think the 11-13 stretch can be pretty tough.
yeah I can see that guess I am just used to a bit faster - always up for a round out there with a fellow refugee
I donāt like to play by myself, so when things get normal enough to visit, maybe we can get together and play somewhere.
sounds good, we are camping out at my in-laws for the month of June, and then we are down there at least once a month - so yeah sounds like a plan
Agree with Running Deer and Scotland Run. Might be worth it to make a trip down the shore (ACCC, Shoregate, Twisted Dunes, Seaview) or out to PA one weekend (Wyncote, Inniscrone, Glenn Mills).
Iām happy to sherpa anyone around Running Deer when things get back to normal(ish). Iāve been a member there for 6 years and I ride hard for it as the best bang for the buck in the area.
Thatād be great, I may give you a ring here in a few months
Iām in for a gathering anywhere. 36 at Seaview is usually my go-to in NJ. But spend a fair amount of time at RD.
In for a round a Running Deer, itās been a few years
Playing Scotland run Tuesday am if anyone is interested
Playing Mountain View in Ewing, NJ tomorrow at 4:36. If anyone is looking for a game, let me know.
Feel free to DM about CV. I was very fortunate to grow up playing there.
I am in south jersey visiting the in-laws next week, if anyone wants to golf, hit me up.
Iām in Woodbury with the in laws, might try to play a twilight round at Scotland run one night if youāre interested
Iām down. Iāve been wanting to try Scotland Run. Just let me know which day you choose.
