Roll Call: Eastern PA/ South NJ

Agree with Running Deer and Scotland Run. Might be worth it to make a trip down the shore (ACCC, Shoregate, Twisted Dunes, Seaview) or out to PA one weekend (Wyncote, Inniscrone, Glenn Mills).

I’m happy to sherpa anyone around Running Deer when things get back to normal(ish). I’ve been a member there for 6 years and I ride hard for it as the best bang for the buck in the area.

That’d be great, I may give you a ring here in a few months

I’m in for a gathering anywhere. 36 at Seaview is usually my go-to in NJ. But spend a fair amount of time at RD.

In for a round a Running Deer, it’s been a few years

Playing Scotland run Tuesday am if anyone is interested

Playing Mountain View in Ewing, NJ tomorrow at 4:36. If anyone is looking for a game, let me know.

Feel free to DM about CV. I was very fortunate to grow up playing there.

I am in south jersey visiting the in-laws next week, if anyone wants to golf, hit me up.

I’m in Woodbury with the in laws, might try to play a twilight round at Scotland run one night if you’re interested

I’m down. I’ve been wanting to try Scotland Run. Just let me know which day you choose.

That’s too bad. We are here through the weekend and leave Monday. Maybe some other time

damn, yeah sorry about that, I’ll be down here a lot so yeah maybe next time. If you make it out there, let me know what you think

Anyone wanna play Running Deer in the afternoon next week?

I’m in, just about any day.

In fact, pick a day now and I can make the tee time.

If any of haven’t seen it, you all need to check out LuLu Country Club. It’s in NW Philly, Glenside I think, and is a Donald Ross gem. The course also happens to be in immaculate condition.

Hey folks,
I just aged out of my parents’ club, so I’ve been looking around for alternatives and I wondered if anyone had any strong feelings towards either French Creek or LedgeRock. LedgeRock is a little closer, but beyond that I don’t know much about either of the two courses beyond what is given; is one clearly better than the other, is the membership different? Both clubs have great offers for people in my age group right now.

The other course in this area is Stonewall, which I also know has attractive options for those under 30, however, I didn’t hear back from the person I emailed there (couldn’t find the membership director).

Anyone have any experience with these clubs?

I was a member at ledgerock for a couple years and enjoyed it. Membership was very welcoming and I believe there have been quite a few people joining there in low 30s or under 30. The conditions were always pristine and greens lightning quick. Also the big debate on the course itself was the 17th hole which was hated or loved. They recently did a renovation which looks to make the hole much more playable for all and really solved the only gripes with the design. Only reason i left was a move which increased the commute time to get up there as often as i would have liked to. The only other downside is the course is impossible to walk unless you are hardcore about it. Can’t speak to French Creek or Stonewall personally but have heard nothing but rave reviews for Stonewall as well.
