Hi DFW friends! I know yāall have your discord but I donāt know if I should join that as an outsider so just posting here. Iāll be in town for the Big 12 championship game at AT&T this upcoming weekend. Iām unable to play golf, unfortunately, but would love any recommendations for eats and places to check out, I have most of the day Friday (I land at Love late morning) if anyone wants to meet up for lunch or anything. Never been to the area, so Iām excited to check it out.

Our crew has become creatures of habit and use the discord far more than they do the refuge, so feel free to jump on in. I would recommend limiting your notifications, itās a bit chatty

For those that love HS football or just good football, if you get a chance you need to go to Jerry World during championship week.
Wednesday - 2 6 man games (track meet with pads) and a 2A game
Thursday - 1 2A game and 2 3A games
Friday- 2 4A games 1 5A game
Saturday- 1 5A game and 2 6A games
For those that donāt know thereās 2 divisions in each classification, which is based on school size. Suppose to make things more fair
In the 5A and 6A games there are usually a handful of future D1 players.
Last year A&Ms freshman Terry Bussey played at I believe a 3A and balled out
Also just to add for those not in Dallas reading this and asking why isnāt week in Houston or San Antonio, the last 20 years DFW has been the average closest place for the past 20 years, per Matt Stepp on Twitter

Long-time listener, but new to the Refuge. I live in Lake Highlands and would love to join the local Roost. Trying to play a few more rounds this year (including some competition) and would appreciate any insights on how to get out there with the group.

Will be moving to DFW later this year. Not entirely familiar with Roosts but interested in joining if for no other reason than to meet and play with some fellow NLU fans and certified (or junior) ball-knowers!
