Roll Call - Dallas, TX

I will also be moving (back) to the Plex within the next month.

Can we have a fresh Discord link?

Nevermind, found one up thread that worked.

Will be in the metroplex in June for a conference and have the opportunity to play a round or two. Any suggestions from the Nest on places to play?

Will be staying in Dallas, but have a car and don’t mind a drive.

A quick breakdown of the plex:

curious where you ended up playing?

Checking in from high cotton country. Visiting McKinney for a wedding next weekend, playing Heritage Ranch Sunday morning if anyone would like to join.

Heading out to the Plex next week to visit family and I want to get a round in someplace. We’ll be staying in Plano, so if anyone has a rec or wants to join me (likely melting in the afternoon heat), I’m open for either!

If you’re here on the 5th, we may have a few spots to play with a group of us at Mesquite GC, a local hidden gem. And by “hidden gem” I mean the tee times are available for about 15 minutes a week out. Stay tuned.

Unfortunately, that’s our departure day from Texas, heading back east.

Went to Umiya up in Frisco. Goodness what a restaurant.

This smoked salmon literally tasted like bacon. So damn good.

Sorry to bother you all but I’m making a trip in March down to Dallas to play some golf with a couple buddies and was wondering if there are any recommendations for public tracks we could play?

I’ve done a lot of googling and the couple buddies I’m going with are not likely to spend on a Fields Ranch but did find Old American (golf clubs at the tribute) and Bear Creek since they both have 2 18’s and we can make a day of playing there. Any others? Only there 4 days but basically the only thing we plan on doing is golfing, eating and sleeping…so I guess food recommendations too if anyone has any…

Thanks for taking the time to read/respond!

Tom

Old American and The Tribute are both very good courses… Texas Rangers Golf Club is also very good golf course.

Indian Creek also has two 18 hole courses, both are a good challenge for a reasonable price. If you’re staying closer to downtown, Tenison Park (Highlands Course) is also solid for a reasonable price. Wouldn’t play Tenison Glen unless you’re just trying to mess around for a super cheap 18 holes.

One of my favorites in the plex is Tierra Verde. Can be tough to get a tee time but always love playing there.

Hello Friends! I am headed to Dallas to speak at a conference toward the end of April (arriving midday 4/23, leaving 4/25 in the morning) and would love to get some golf in. Can anyone play on Thursday 4/23 in the afternoon or Friday morning 4/24? I’m staying near Parker University
