Bummer about Fox Hollow/ Homestead
Big question then becomes, how much additional golf would I play at other courses. Adopting a Must play CG if you want to join me policy is not out of the question lol
Really appreciate the replies, guis

How far is the drive to CG for you?
How much do you really like it?
I love the course, but get bored with it if I’m playing it for more than 50% of my rounds. Same is true of any course, really.
I’ve looked at the CG membership every year and the price is right at my limit for general cost of golf for the year. Not sure I’d want to be tied down to one place, but I could play more, but I’ve also moved to be about 30 minutes away. I just wish there were more ranger memberships around Centennial/DTC.
The CG annual pass is just a bit less than we pay at Inverness for our Silver membership, although prices just went up drastically.
We get sub 4 hour rounds, easier day-of booking, and amenities like gym/pool/etc. What we give up: the course sucks. I still end up playing at CG and other courses a lot, just because I miss the variety.
Yeah. Makes sense. Since it’s just me and my fiancée, who has absolutely no interest in golf or club amenities, I joined a traveling league for 2021 to hopefully get out more and try some new courses. Hopefully the competition will push me to practice more. Making a serious goal to go from around a 15 to single digits this year.
If CG offered tee time booking privileges to pass holders, I’d be all the way in. Unless you can play weekdays, it would probably be tough to get your money worth on weekend play only with how quickly the tee sheet fills up
I think they can book 14 days out, compared to 7 for public (don’t quote me on that, they have different booking windows for members, CGA members, public, etc), but it doesnt solve the “I want to play this afternoon and dont have a tee time” problem that I always have.
How much time ya got?
How much money ya got?
How many friends ya got?
Lots
Zero
Do internet friends count?
I think Meridian still has a range only membership. Not sure how it is, but close to DTC.
Edit - just checked $950 for range use and the 3 practice holes.
Depends on if they bail when it’s under 40F.
Ouch. I deserve that.
Its about 25 min out, I’m on the border of Denver/Lakewood. Would be a commitment to get out there multiple x week.
Range membership or a walking membership is what I’m also after. I can get off the desk at about 2 most days during the summer and want to take advantage of that this year. Regardless of where, lots of golf to be played!
Money is always low and im always on the hunt for dealz
Don’t think you’re gonna find any deals right now, COVID has pretty much killed any deals with the big surge in interest.
Can confirm. Source: my bank account.
It’s been wild. I can’t get tee times even on sickos days (under 40 degrees). 3 hour frost delay and people still want to play.
For reference. our crazy cheap membership at Inverness had a <$1k initiation and there were around 30 spots avail when I joined in April. Now we’re on a waitlist and that initiation has shot up significantly. We were the cheapest (private) membership in town, and honestly might still be.
Yep, this time last year the Pinery was spamming any Parker resident under 40 with amazing deals. Did not put the trigger and those deals are gone.
I feel like I’m the resident CG superfan so I’ll give you my insights, I live <10 minutes away so YMMV:
Full Rounds**: ~45
9 Hole Rounds: ~50
Par 3 rounds: 4? That parking lot walk is real
Range Sessions: 100+ (includes getting a bucket 10 minutes before teeing off and hitting like 8 shots, worth it)
With the annual pass you can book online as a single instead of having to call the shop, really awesome for last minute rounds. Also means you can refresh the tee sheet after shop hours to see if anyone has cancelled if you want to sneak on.
Join the Men’s Club, 12+ events, $35 entry fee and cash skins games, payouts in shop credit so just parlay that into all of your golf gear spending. Play more at CG, learn the course, win more at CG.
The guys that book out the tee times in advance are almost all in the men’s club, great way to meet people and get in on their games. I’m on a discord with a group of guys that likes to play early morning weekdays all summer long (think first tee time), finish 18 between 9 and 10 in prime season.
If you’re done by 2pm you can play a shit ton in the summer.
Happy to answer any other questions. I love CG, you can play it a ton of different ways, the vast majority of the people are great and you’re supporting the CGA.

I would jump on a CG membership if I lived anywhere close to the course. The practice facility is also pretty good there, in addition to the really good course.
