Garnering interest for an outing at Calumet. Date not set in stone but hoping for August 9 or August 16. Throw your name on the sheet if interested.

Your ability to unearth these random old newspaper clippings is truly awe inspiring. Never stop

Bumping, closes 8PM tonight

Working on a fun (for me) project that leans into the history of some of Chicagoland’s older courses. Will share soon.

Hello Chicago and Chicagoland adjacent nesticles. I have found in a new role at work that I now visit your great section of the country a few times a year. My next visit is end of July (likely 23rd thru the 25th) and wouldn’t mind bringing the sticks and playing a round of golf. Will mainly be west of the city/airport but am open to going anywhere to tee it up. Let me know if anyone would like to get out!

A lot of great options from that general area. Top of my list would be Highlands of Elgin. But you can go north and south from there and run into decent golf.

Decent public tracks:
Highlands of Elgin
Schaumburg GC (27 holes)
Bartlett Hills
Village Links (Glen Ellyn)
Highland Woods

Controversial public track:
Mt. Prospect GC, site of our major

Be sure to check out our very own @golfscout’s guide as well.

Throw these on there too:

Preserve at Oak Meadows
Prairie Landing
