It is ALARMING just how many IHSA Golf Team coaches (Boys and Girls) don’t know how scoring works, penalties/hazards, and OB rules…

Thank you for the note about not being a bad gui because I just now realized my next 6 weekends are fully accounted for and generally can’t play weekday golf… not sure how that happened haha

Thanks to all for joining the meeting Tuesday night. Instead of typing everything out here, I threw together a rough “2024 2CGC Guide” that includes basic info about the roost, what we do, events, some of the people involved, etc. The guide was sent to the 2cgc c-suite for review and revisions. Once it’s in a somewhat shareable state, I’ll post it here and maybe some of us can copy the link and put it in our roost profile.
Once published, PLEASE feel free to comment and make changes. By no means is anything in there a hard and fast rule. If you do make changes, or don’t agree with something, bring it up in the discord/here and we can come to a group consensus.
Ideally I’d like it to expand and be the source for all things 2cgc, especially related to events and qualifying for larger championships, especially for newer members.
Should be able to share something next week (I’ll be in Montreal all next week, but someone should be able to post it up).

Has anyone had their lofts and lies checked at the Dicks on Clybourn and Halsted? If so, was it a quick thing where I could stay there or was it a drop off and pick up?

It took a couple weeks to get clubs regripped there so I don’t know how quickly they’d turn it around.
I think they just opened a PGA Superstore on Fullerton so that may be a better option?

Opens 9/16 from what I’ve seen, but that was my first option since it’s closer to me. Wasn’t expecting weeks to turn around, so maybe I’ll call to get a better idea. Thanks!
