Roll Call: Central New York

Man that flood was brutal. We played out of Genegantslet in Greene, we had to finish that season playing the back since the river turned some of the holes on the front into a lake.

I only played it once and most definitely did not walk. It was part of a five pack I bought that included it, Enjoi, Cornell, Ithaca CC (which we never made it to before we moved) and the Highlands (I think itā€™s called).

If yā€™all can ever get on to Cortland CC itā€™s a great track.

Cornell was always a tough track. I havenā€™t been to Ithaca cc since Joey Sindelar bought it but Iā€™ve heard good things

I played Cornell last year and the conditioning was awful! Probably some of the worse bunker maintenance I have seen in a long time, especially in the back 9.

There is that one green, I think maybe 11 or 12 that is wildly bumpy. Hard to play but cool to see.

Itā€™s not normally in that condition. They were in the middle of a bunker renovation in spring 2020 when the university froze all their budgets. They still donā€™t have authorization to finish the project but I heard it should be done by this year

Itā€™s time! Letā€™s get some central NY representation this year. Would like to do an east and west bracket if possible.

Bumpity bump go sign up for match play.

9 signed up so far. Letā€™s try to get to at least 12.

Hello fellow CNY golfers! I recently joined the Refuge and the Nest. Iā€™m interested in finding people to play with in the Syracuse area. Hit me up if you want to play!

Welcome! Not a lot of noise coming out of Syracuse around here but we do have a larger contingency around Buffalo/Rochester. We have a pretty active WhatsApp as well, to set up rounds together. Happy to send an invite to that group.

WhatsApp Group Invite. Join us in the whatsapp group. We are working on matcholay and possibly meetup/events. We arenā€™t a roost yet. But trying to build to one.

Last call! Planning on setting brackets tuesday. Match play will start May 1st. Also you donā€™t need to be in matfhplay to sign up for seasonal quota. Thatā€™s monthly, can be fine individually. Just give ya a little extra kick to get out there and play. And to play a honest round.

@JoshBWNY think you linked the wrong google doc here.

Hahaha. Yep. Thanks. Letā€™s try again.

Iā€™m moving to Latham NY and working in Saratoga Springs for the summer. Would love a list of must plays and the best weekly plays around those two areas. Any and all RECS welcome as Iā€™m looking to play as much golf as the days off will allow. Thank you!

I highly recommend driving down to play Inness. I played there last week and it was an awesome experience. I imagine itā€™s going to become a pretty popular place in the next few years

Donā€™t sleep on Leatherstocking down in Cooperstown, beautiful classic courseā€¦ I heard there is a decent course out by Lake George, tho canā€™t remember the name. Iā€™m sure Albany has some decent tracks, starting with CC of Troy, if you can get on.

What do people in Syracuse area think of Timber Banks? Is it worth the price? Looks like $90.00 after 1:00 PM on weekends.

What are the best public courses in Syracuse area (outside of Green Lakes).

Anyone played Coyneā€™s course?

Sullivan County? I played it last September before any real money was put into it. Itā€™s a rough walk but enjoyed it very much. Itā€™s got some good bones but Iā€™m very excited to see everything that Coyne et al. have planned for it. The re-design looks great.

Hope this helps.
