Any lunch recommendations for near the UT golf course? Or anything I should see while in Austin. Only for the day but seeing what I would do
Are you staying / meeting anyone anywhere? UTGC is out in the suburbs, so you have the standard list of soulless concrete-jungle food places. Might be something a little more memorable if you have another rendezvous somewhere in the city.
Just driving down to golf for the day.
Eating at club is good, especially sitting on patio. This place makes some good burgers and is not far away.

played at UTGC today.
the front 9 continues to be an absolute beat down. just awful golf holes.
I will say this……17 is growing on me. I hit a bad tee shot into front of right fairway bunker. hit a decent approach to 20 feet and made a double breaker.
BUT my overall opinion of the course remains the same…….it sucks.

I think the Aggie in me would spontaneously combust if I set foot on UTGC but I’d still like to give it a try at some point. Sounds kinda like Grey Rock to me?

I saw Cole Hammer shoot 66 out there at the 2019 NCAA Regional.
Also, Nick Vocke shot 61 in 2017 at par 71 7,355 yards, which is just insane

Word is that a new group bought the golf course from Hyatt and have not taken care of it.
I was playing with someone a week or two back who said that the conditioning had really gone downhill. I hope not, as I have a tournament there on Saturday.
