Enjoyed rock manor the few times a stopped over after work on my way back home in Media. Agree that 18 is a nice finish. It doesn’t beat you up as much as white clay can, but I play white clay more since It’s so close to the office. That being said…who the hell knows when I’ll be back in the office

Never played golf in DE, despite going to HS there. However, have open invitations to Wilmington and Bidermann so have a strong incentive to rectify that. Have always wanted to play Rock Manor as well

ULN is crazy just played there 2 weeks ago. They only have 1 nine done as of now but its amazing. its a must play if you can get out there. they are currently working on the other 2 nines. and from what dana fry comment on my IG post of my pictures is that the next 2 nines are going to be bigger and better then the first. really looking forward to the work hes doing there.

Another Delawarean here! If it ever stops snowing, I’m ready to play. Played Rock Manor in a First Tee fundraiser in 2019, but have never played the course in order. Maybe this year…

Alright my Philly people, specifically @Craigstands , @wideright , @ChickPhilA , @Flex , @Matt_monk , @yungloudancolin , @barnabyjones , @Mroe , and @kkellyQQ ,

March Makefield Madness is officially off the ground and underway.

I spoke with Ed Gibson, Makefield’s Head Pro today and reserved 3 tee times mid-morning to allow for any travel, etc for Saturday, March 20th. It was tough to go any later since the way they do things is have groups go out on both sides throughout the morning, stopping at 10:10 and closing off further tee times until the afternoon to allow everyone on the course to get around.

So the three slots we have: Off the front 9 on hole #1 at 9:50, 10:00, and 10:10 AM. We currently have 10 people signed up so if there is anyone else interested let me know. If we want to expand beyond 12 we probably have the room to do that too, just need to know sooner rather than later.

Ed has offered everyone coming free range balls to use at the facility to warm up (take advantage, Makefield has one of the best public access practice facilities around). It will be mats this time of year no doubt but you’ll want to be ready for the drive on 1!.

Rates: $36 to walk 18, $51 to ride. If you walk it’s an absolute steal for this course, mid-season non-resident rates will easily push you $70-80 to play on a weekend morning. Hopefully we catch a nice day!

Let me know if you need to bow out, have someone else you want to bring, etc. Funny enough they do have a Bar-Mitzvah there that day but if we’re still between 12-16 people we will be within their COVID parameters to have a bite to eat out on the deck or inside for those who want to (the Mitzvah will be over on their entertaining patio and tent).

Can’t wait to get the season kicked off and meet those who signed up!

I’m 100% in! @MrChickPhilA may want to also come along (will confirm with him once we’re done “work” today).

Thanks for setting it up!!! I’m itching like mad to get back on the course. We are still 30% under snow over here at Burlington. I’m breaking down and going to Topgolf 2 times this weekend. I haven’t swung a club since mid January!!

I have a bum shoulder but starting PT this week and determined to play (also haven’t swung a club since December), thanks for the setup @Zachilroy ! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

This made my day! Also the drive on one is my favorite way to see the fairway on 9. Without that lousy 1st tee shot I’d never know what it looks like

Would love to do this one, but it’s following my weekend away from work down in Pinehurst, may not be able to do two Saturdays off in a row. I’ll post back if things change for the positive!

TopGolf?

Along those same lines 1 fairway is one of the safest places to be off of 9 tee.

If that lake/house weren’t so tempting I’d see 1 fairway finally

Alright great to see so many people confirming! We are officially at 12 and at capacity for the 3 currently reserved groups but I am more than happy to arrange for more if we have more interested. Even if we wind up with an odd number don’t be shy, I’ve got some people on the bench that could fill out a foursome if need be.

All that remains now is for the lingering snow to melt, the rain to wash away what’s left of winter and the sun to come out and set us up for a great day. I’ll keep everyone posted on any developments and keep an eye on the forecast leading up to the day.

Absolutely, sorry just seeing this, first time passing through the Fuge today. I can give the course a call in the morning and try to secure 9:40 if you haven’t already.
