Alright guys….

We have a course! The inaugural Rust Belt Rumble will be held at Bedford Hills Golf Club in Temperance, Michigan.

They have 27 holes with routings and ratings for every combo. Right now, first tee times are set for 8am to make sure we will have plenty of time to fit everything in. Lunch will be included in your entrance fee

As for said entrance fee, we don’t have that finalized yet, but it should come in under $100 for 36 holes, lunch, and some manor of tee gift. I’ll try to have that set as soon as I can.

Lastly, we should be able to expand our field. We could use some more @OhioAgainstTheWorld signups to fill out a 16 vs 16 matchup without forcing anyone to flip sides, so if you’ve been on the fence for whatever reason, hopefully these updates will get you to want to throw your name on the list!

Is OATW afraid to come out and play FcF for extensive bragging rights and prizes? Their only hope to fill out a ryder cup event begging for turncoats from the other side?

The way things are shaping up, we will be fully moved in to Michigan in March. My wife is a Michigander, and it would feel wrong to play for Ohio after I’ve moved.

Also, I’m flattered you guys are upset I’ve agreed to play for the Flock. Worried?

Well it’s more where they have set dates for the sacrament. I think there are 3-4 choices. We grabbed the one that worked best for us.

I mean I won’t speak for the whole of OATW but the majority of our roost is 2+ hours away from Michigan and the middle of April is a gamble with weather and it’s tough to steal away from family with other commitments for the summer coming after April. Again, that’s just me but I’m sure there’s more that feel that way. I love the idea and support it but I just can’t make that commitment. I wish I could. Long live the rivalry.
