I play drums in a wedding band and we probably end about 1/3 of our nights with a circle of dudes with their pants at their ankles singing Piano Man. I would be very tired of it at this point, but that means it’s one less song we have to play and I can start tearing down my gear.

Update: as expected, the wife is all-in on a return to the Twin Cities for me to play golf and for her to wax nostalgic. Says she’s going to bring our teen daughters and show them around while I’m golfing. This could not have worked out better for me. I’m sure the universe will slap me in the face at some point soon to restore balance, but I’ll be at least I’ll be at the NSS in July.
