Happy Friday Everyone!
Now that we are 3 weeks (+1 day) for the event, I wanted to provide some updates and reminders. The intention of this event is an early season, choose your adventure, and have fun!
- The event scoring will be Stableford - you will be able to choose what tees you want to play - your course handicap will be based here Please ensure you have an updated handicap in the Unknown Golf profile
- Event trophy is coming together
- @midwestgolfbum and I are holding the tee times in our names, so you guys will pay at the course. One-week cancellation policy, so please let us know in this sheet if you are no longer able to join

Does Unknown Golf not automatically pull down handicaps?!?
Seems like a nightmare to check that everyone’s using their most recent index. And the some will put in their index and some will inevitably put in their course handicap.
EDIT: it appears they do it automatically, so no one needs to enter their handicap (can’t even see a place to do so).
It automatically pulls, as you have said, on a certain date based on whatever I or another event organizer chooses. Could be day before, could be the week before, could be some random 16 day thing, but that also isn’t shown to somebody who is not an event admin.
Same goes for if there is a need to change the handicap manually. It can be done on the backend, but likely won’t ever be used until for some reason we decide that somebody should get an extra shot in some event for one reason or another or has to play as scratch or some other such thing.

This is what we have in the system now, which is pulling from GHIN. Evan and I will figure out when to lock it for the event, but will help with setting your course handicap and letting everyone play from whatever tees they would like to.
Evan and I decided on a match from the Blues, but defaulted everyone else to Green/White for the time-being.
