underappreciated in discussions of the death of rock
must this wretched form persist
On to better music, I completely missed that Taylor Swift released Folklore last year. I just assumed Evermore was her only album in 2020, which was great. After seeing her win at the Grammys, decided to give it a listen. IT SLAPS
how many sins must we endure
Iām done.
huge fan of marcās work, his thanksgiving errr āstanksgivingā special on YT was a treat.
Donāt stop now - there are depths yet to explore.
if I had the ability to record songs from my record player, we could really engage in some existential spelunking
Also not a fan of The Lumineers. The one guy wears suspenders AND a belt, and it bugs the hell outta me. Thatās not the only reason why I dislike them, but it definitely contributes. Some catchy songs, but thatās about it. Saw them play The Duck Room in St. Louis in 2011. There were maybe 45 people there. Thought we were onto something. I prefer The Head And The Heart if I need to listen to stuff like that.
One winter, pre kids, pre sim league, I was so fucking bored thst I needed something. So I started taking yoga. This song ended every class.
All that good energy just shit out the window by hearing this song.
did not think this song would be on YouTube. there is no good part of this song. one of the most baffling productions ever and just the stupidest most madlib lyrics and instrument usage. I would read a ten-volume history on the making of this song like the fall of Rome.
I made it 43 seconds.
Ophelia low key slapsā¦
itās a true shame you didnāt stick around for the lyric āhereās another report on the bluesā or the outro that features a fiddle and a harmonica both leveled for a solo and seemingly recorded without knowledge of the other instrument
The best solos are independent of literally all the other things in the song. Everyone knows that!
The whole Stomp and Holler genre had a very short shelf life.
They ended a yoga class with that?!? was it in a barn?
I am a North Dakotan, James.
