Just grabbed tickets this morning for their DC show in February :triumph: been dying for them to do a US tour for the album and stop doing Europe + festivals

You should give Ninajirachi a look if you like JVB and PinkPantheress

You and I run in the same music circles I see.

I’ve been a Blue Stones fan since Hows That Sound in 2012 and I think Metro is their worst output by far. I wish I liked it so much but I just dont.

The Mo Lowda album is amazing.

Wonder Years - No Closer to Heaven (10th Anniversary Remaster)
Yellowcard - Better Days
The Midnight - Syndicate
The Starting Line - Eternal Youth
Whiskey Myers - Whomp Whack Thunder
Motion City Soundtrack - Same Old Wasted Wonderful World
Mo Lowda and the Humble - Tailing the Ghost
Turnpike Troubadours - Price of Admission
Muscadine Bloodline - And What Was Left Behind

These are not in order. All of these are somewhere between very good and excellent.

Damn we are in the same music scene! There’s another guy on the Refuge who’s also a Mo Lowda fan, I can’t remember his name right now.

Metro was a concept that worked for me, and after their last two albums had underwhelmed me I was really glad it did. Won’t knock a fellow knower for seeing it differently.

Interesting. I think Black holes and hidden gems (and how’s that sound ) are as good as they get. Thought pretty monster was a step down. And metro was a further step down.

They rip live as well.

They absolutely do. Saw them a couple months ago when they came through Austin and they (along with their opener Meltt) were fantastic.
