Still remember how I got into Garbage from Gran Turismo 2 and I Think I’m Paranoid.
Psych pop banger! What a voice.
Saw her open for Haim last month, really fun live show too!
Good news: There’s a new Tame Impala album.
Bad news : It stinks except for three songs ![]()
Just saw him with LB this summer.
Amazing few weeks of new music.

I’m currently obsessed with this Counting Crows medley of Taylor Swift’s “The 1” into “A Long December”. Like repeat after repeat obsessed.
New Militaire Gun album is fantastic. What a level up.
Gave Underscores’ “Wallsocket” another try last night after not liking it on first listen a couple years ago. Boy was I ever wrong. What an awesome record
Somehow this dropped into my YT algorithm this morning. Currently have this on in the background while I do a project, it’s great. It’s from November 2023.
For one night only, world famous producer Metro Boomin teamed up with Red Bull and Maestro Anthony Parnther to bring the West Coast premiere of Red Bull Symphonic to the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Fusing the worlds of hip-hop and classical music in unprecedented fashion, the sold-out musical event included special performances by John Legend, Swae Lee, NAV and Roisee.
I’ve been spinning the most recent Ben Kweller album, Cover the Mirrors, on repeat the past month or so.
His 16-year-old son was killed in a freak car accident a couple of years back. This is his first work since the accident.
My favorite track on the album is called “Trapped” and was actually an unfinished song that his son, Julian, was writing before he died. As a dad of two, I can’t keep the tears from welling up every time I hear it. Just a beautiful, tragic tribute.
Great interview about the tragedy he’s felt, how he’s rebuilt hope, and more with some bonus tunes here:
(also…who knew McLovin was this guy’s bassist?)
Absolutely unreal. Rocketed up my TDC rankings
Some early modest mouse vibes from these guys
You can bet your ass I heard the new singles on Monday
Almost more excited for the likely US tour than I am the new album
jsg_nado’s unsolicited top 10 favorite albums of the year (so far) because I have zero interest in listening to any of the grammy nominated albums (except mayhem)

Highly recommend Lux. Newer album, she sings in like 10 languages and the london symphony orchestra is featured heavily on most tracks. Very very unique album! Hearing a bona fide pop star sing classical music in 2025 is sick.
