Music Suggestions 2 - driving fast in my car

Couldn’t resist snagging some tickets to this show. Time to relive the youth again for the second time this summer after seeing Yellowcard on their Ocean Avenue 20th anniversary tour!

Philly (by way of Savannah, GA) rock/metal group Baroness are releasing their sixth studio album Stone on September 15th. It’s been almost 4 years since their last album (thanks COVID) and the 2nd with lead guitarist Gina Gleason.

They’ve released 3 tracks to preview the new album:

Those of us who attended a small school in the swampy butthole of central Virginia have a certain fondness for My Old School.

I’m generally iffy on live recordings but this album is pretty great for any Zach Bryan fans-

been listening to these sibling for a year or so(?, time is weird). They are coming to Seattle in november…as the openers for the Jonas Bothers. I have half a mind to see if I can buy a ticket, watching the opening, then walk out and sell the ticket to someone who want to see the Jonas Bros

also they just seem to know an lot of absurdly talented people to back them up for these acoustic sessions.

Music that sounds like this being made in 2023 makes the teenage kid inside me very happy

Punk music might not have peaked yet. Might still be getting better.

A bit late but this was fun. Also a reminder of how unfortunate it is that streaming apps don’t have most mixtapes or other projects with uncleared samples
