@MrChickPhilA @MerchCzar I really enjoyed the Nest Pod! It was a pleasant surprise to hear about Taco Bell. lol my Taco Bell fandom continues to grow
Thanks @Tristar - Appreciate the feedback, Neil and I had a blast chatting. Could have been another hour of rambling.
Was not expecting a Charlie Crockett shout out, but man was that a nice surprise
I canāt stop listening to this
Honestly, this whole movie is filled with great songs.
Occasionally, when I get a song in my head, Iāll look for covers of it on YouTube.
Today I checked YouTube for covers of Whole Lotta Rosie and found this:
Absolutely delightful. This cover by Nemophila, a Japanese band, is great and the singerās mispronunciations tell me she learned the lyrics phonetically, which is awesome. I had to hear more.
Wow. They can shred.
Constantly find myself coming back to this album. Absolutely by Dijon. Linked video is a short film they did with live performances of a few tracks. Personal favorite song (Scratching) starts at 7:23
I have been a huge Sam fan since Hypersonic Missiles. Always gives me joy to see him shared.
If you havenāt heard All is on My Side, it is top class. A jam.
One of my favorite things music is going to a concert and hearing a new song that just absolutely whips. Iām usually standing around, but the bass on this live blew my face off and got me jumping around.
Caught them at the NYC date, so good. Havenāt stopped listening to this album all summer.
@tdaly @OffTheDole @Forty I am going to deep dive the Steely Dan collection today.
I grew up quite a big classic rock fan so they arenāt totally new, but I have really only heard whatever would be on the radio.
Obviously thereās Aja, which is a masterpiece all the way through, but donāt overlook tracks from Gaucho and The Royal Scam.
āGlamour Professionā - shout out to Hoops McCann
āHey Nineteenā - a banger
āKid Charlemagneā -
āThe Caves of Altamiraā - the drums are so good on this one
Awesome, I will definitely keep a lookout/listen for those!
Currently just finished āKingsā on āCanāt Buy A Thrillā, and working through oldest to newest.
Youāll recognize this song as a sample Kanye used on Graduation
Iāll add the obvious Canāt Buy A Thrill songs
Dirty Work, Reelin In The Years, and Do It Again
but donāt overlook Only A Fool Would Say That and Fire In The Hole
Iāll also shout out Bodhisattva and My Old School from Countdown to Ecstasy
ahhhh nice I love some sample recognition/hearing the source!
Good stuff here - currently on Only A Fool Would Say That niceee
Just bought tickets to see M83 live in October
Havenāt been to any concert in 7 years. Iām hyped. Get to listen to my #1 favorite album of the year, live.
