These two have been my driving fast songs since I got my license.
I know I told this story to some Refugees but I donât think it was on this website.
I was in orchestra for most of high school. Me and two friends played the bass and we just fucked around in the back of the class the whole time. All of the violins hated us.
Part of the class grade was attending two/three live music performances a semester. Most people just went to school band and choir concerts. My friends and I ended up procrastinating long enough that we ran out of school concerts to go to.
One of them checked the event list for a nearby theater and found a band called Spoon. I listened to a couple songs on Spotify and said âgood enough for me.â We went and it was one of the best concerts Iâve been to in my short life. Great band.
90s era Foo Fighters are always good for flooring it for a bit:
You are the best
Add this to the list of songs that I canât not drive dangerously fast when I hear it
Thereâs some bangers that you can drive fast to in this list:
That is an amazing story.
Iâm glad you randomly got to see them (and enjoyed it).
My kids are big into Taylor Swift lately. Iâve said it before, I think, but small parts in songs always mean more to me. Like just little slices of heaven in songs hit me so hard. Anyway, the way she says âyes, I remember what you said last nightâ just makes me feel so fucking good.
Probably the ni-Ight ness, I guess.
Hearing you talk about the way the artist specifically says something reminded me of this⌠as a lover of sad songs and a consistent sulker the line âyou say I choose sadness that it never once has chosen meâŚâ is a dagger for me, absolutely love the way Jenny Lewis says âmaybe youâre rightâŚâ
Listened to the interview this morning, it was excellent! Appreciate the recommendation. Now itâs time to go on a Superchunk binge I guess
As far as songs that really make me put the foot on the gas, hereâs a few
This one sort of gets you creeping up slowly, but by the time the copâs flashers hit you youâre doing 105 and barely realize it.
FLYYYYYING down the freeway
