Oh man, this prompt brought up a jarring memory. My first ‘oh shit, driving is dangerous AF’ moment occurred at 16 when I stupidly passed a car and barely missed an oncoming vehicle. Hot For Teacher - Van Halen was blasting and I guess I couldn’t differentiate my engine’s RPMs from Alex Van Halen being a menace on the drums. I checked my shorts and slowed down

on my 8 hr drives home in college I would put my 10lb big ass laptop on the passenger seat, plug it into an inverter since the battery sucked, queue up some illegally downloaded mp3s, plug my headphones in, and literally tune out the world since I was the idiot that wore headphones while driving.

I used to do a lot of long haul delivery as my mother owned a Flower Shop and we did a lot of business in the outlying areas. So, lots of driving for me.
