I like the multiple times on that front nine where we said “oh no, did we forget our rock?”

Ha! I believe that out there at cedar creek.

Anyone in for a game tomorrow? Dallas or Fort Worth area.

I wish, think I’m office bound all week. Did y’all get out and play in the rain this morning?

We did, it was just a light rain for about 2 holes. Cedar Crest is a tough track from the tips in the rain and a strong breeze.

Oof, I bet 1, 10 and the par 3s played loooong this morning.

Think I’m finally going to get fitted next week… I’m in Houston and have narrowed it down to Swanny’s, Club Fix (at Cypresswood GC), or Club Champion (Woodlands Location). Any opinions on any of these? Any better/worse? Club Fix and Swanny’s have outdoor fittings… have y’all seen where outdoor vs indoor changes the results of a fitting?

When i was fit for my irons and wedges, i did an outdoor fitting because I really wanted to hit off grass and see the ball flight. I did my driver indoors because the pure numbers were a higher priority. My personal preference.

I would recommend Swansons in north Houston. I’ve gotten fit for irons there twice over the last 12 years and did a driver fitting as well. Getting to see the flight instead of hitting into a mat is totally worth it to me. Plus if you order clubs through them they apply a discount that almost makes the fitting cost damn near free unless they changed it.

I was thinking Swanny’s too, but on the latest reviews, it shows that they shut the range portion down! Turned it in to a soccer field or something. Haven’t been there to eat lunch or hit balls in over a year so wasn’t sure about the status of that place…

Yeah the driving range is no longer but the fitting shed still has a netted off “mini range” I guess you could call it off to the left side. I believe they still do fittings but I also haven’t been in over a year either. I want to say it’s ~230 yards with a net in the back that you can just bang balls into.

This would be siiiiickkkk. I’d be in on this for sure.

Give Impact Precision a look as well. Brett, Trevor, and Major are all great out there. Really invest in you the golfer - a buddy of mine got fitted for a driver out there the other week. 1.5 hour scheduled session turned into a 3 hour one, honing in on every spec possible. Plus I believe they offer lifetime adjustments as needed. They definitely don’t skimp on making sure you’re setup jives.

Go to Impact Precision

Gonna try and play Roy Kizer Friday afternoon thinking 2:30 (depends on my buddies 1oclock rehearsal ) anyone want to join

Summer is just around the corner. I figured no one actively plays through hot humid weather like us Texans so this would be a good place to ask. Has anybody found any shorts that fight or at least mitigate major swamp ass in the summer? I have tried a number of lightweight shorts, but it seems every pair I try turns another color in the back after the ass sweat starts. Usually I just own it (which still may be the move) but figured it’s worth asking if anyone has found a brand that has helped them out with this.

Travis Mathew usually has a decent selection at Nordstrom Rack. Half off the list price and there are definitely options with the more athletic material.

I normally wear compression shorts and that tends to help. I know some people recommend powder deodorant but I’ve never tried it.
