Strangely not played avery ranch or terra vista and its been a few years since ive been to Falconhead - preference of the 3? Will see how inclined the S.O. is to allowing a 3rd round squeezed in.
For living in Dallas for years to being in Houston for the last 8 my non DFW / HTX golf exposure is poor. SAD!
Your definition of cheap is way different than mine. 
I meant in comparison to Barton Creek! You get what you pay for and I think those 3 courses strike a nice balance of bang for the buck. I’ve only played in Austin a few times though, so I’m sure there are other solid options. My personal ranking is:
Though I’m sure that won’t be everyone’s ranking. Something about TV that I just really enjoy. Avery Ranch is probably the most scenic of these 3. Falconhead played the toughest for me.
That’s a fair sentiment when comparing to Barton Creek. They are all over $100 on weekend mornings right now. #shringthegame
All of the value in Austin now is in the munis but it’s almost impossible to get a time. Mo Willy / Kizer / Clay are all better golf courses than TV/AR/Falcon in my opinion.
Shiiit anything south of the 36th parrallel is pricey as hell before the outdoor ovens preheat for the day. Small price to pay to golf in typically mild weather during the holidays i suppose.

Magnolia Golf has now jammed tee times to like 8 minute increments, and laughs at the concept of Rangers/Marshall’s, so you’re signing up for a 5-5.5hr round at all 3 of these courses. it’s dreadful because the courses really are great!
There’s a whole mafia of muni old timers that stand around on Tuesday so they can be there at opening and book
We had to get one of our dudes to show up and stand there when we did that Lions outing years ago

The fine folks of Cedar Crest and Iamagolfer foundation are running back Thanksgiving at Trinity Forest, we typically get about 8-10 Big Plex homies at this event. Sing ups go live late October.
