Anyone in the Plex had experience with Pure Swing Golf? I have heard good enough things about their instruction and practice options, but got quoted around $1800 for ten lessons, which seems pretty steep.
Anyone played rockwood recently? I know they’re on temporary greens, just wondering how bad it is?
I went there for a total rebuild a couple years ago and had a great experience. The instructor I saw is no longer there but have gone back for a couple one-offs since then and haven’t had a bad experience.
I have an ~8 hour layover at DFW this Friday the 21st (land at 11AM, depart 7:15).
Anyone want to play during the hottest part of the day? I played Texas Star and Texas Rangers last fall but would be open to anything.
I also have pretty much the same layover on the way back the following Thursday the 27th.
Alternatively something fun to do for a few hours?

Anyone in Dallas / Ft. Worth familiar with this place?
A friend of my wife’s recently took over ownership and is helping get the place back in running order. Would love to see some love sent their way to help them out. No clue if it’s a decent course or what shape it’s in.

If that’s the place I think it is it’s an odd area cause it’s got golf and disc golf (frolf for those that know)
It has potential just needs some love and some better direction. Hard to get around without signs

I love that place. They host a lot of NTPGA junior events that my daughter has played in regularly. It’s a very laid back vibe and a challenging par 3 course from the back tees. They had some trouble with their greens but otherwise it’s pretty good. I also like that they have double decker golf carts out there.
I hope your friends continue to work with the NTPGA because those are the kind of courses we need to get kids involved in the game.

Any feedback on either Omni Barton Creek or the Omni PGA Frisco resort? Looking for a weekend anniv trip with the misses…havent dipped a toe in either resort / course(s).

For an anniversary trip I would lean Barton Creek/Austin. Frisco resort and courses are awesome but Austin will have the better extracurriculars.

Thats where I was leaning… if i have time for 1 - possibly 2 rounds while she hits the spa - course recs?
Was leaning foothills and then the coore/crenshaw if i can squeeze it in…
I personally prefer fazio canyons which just finished up a restoration. But def play the coore/crenshaw course.

My wife and I did this a year and half ago and it was good. Barton Creek has two course you can play depending on the day, they alternate if I remember correctly. Also they have a spa in the hotel and you have Austin to go out into.

The frisco resort looks awesome but I haven’t been yet. Barton Creek is great though and the canyons course is sick. One of my favorites in the state that you can get on.
